Off topic, but did anyone see the Byfuglien hit on Downie? To me, that borders on Hunter/Turgeon. The gap isn't as big, but it's still well after the fact. - jmatchett383
That hit was pretty reckless. I'd be surprised if that doesn't cost him a couple of games. |

Akeson. - jmatchett383
of course. he clearly doesn't bring enough away from the puck to warrant a spot. we should carry 9 dmen and spot one of them on the 4th line. |

Probably. CC has looked pretty good in the first two games. He's remained in tact as well which is a minor miracle. - PLindbergh31
should let CC continue to play until he breaks. should be any game now. |

i agree, if he makes it to 15 games without injury it will be as big a mystery as Stonehenge

I would let him play. He's not bad when he's healthy. Which is just about never. |

I see the Sixers are 0-5 out of the gate. That pipe cleaner Noel is injured already.

Monstrous start -- reminiscent of the kind of stuff Jagr and Tkachuk used to do at ES |

Was anyone else hoping that Kopecky left last night with a few less teeth and 2 black eyes? That dude's a sneaky, slimy little poop. - jmatchett383
Kopecky, and Gudbranson, I think, who cross checked Couturier when he was falling down. That was a dangerous play. Not sure how that wasn't a penalty. |

I just saw it. The puck was long in the net before Buff made that hit. Complete bone head move on Byfuglien's part.
On the other hand, nice goal by Downie. I like Steve Downie, I think a healthy Downie could still be doing some good things here. |
