No. San Joke would go 15-0 on their way to the Cup, allow the other team to force a Game 7, and then lose something like 16-2 in Game 7. Because they're the Sharks.

yeah. probably this.

i lived in John's Landing, a neighborhood in Portland. For some reason that didn't bother me.

Because it's a perfectly fine possessive. But what the hell is Johns?

Also, Joe Thornton would have a grand total of 3 points in those 19 games, all scored as secondary assists on goals in Game 3 of the first round, an 8-4 win over the ever-dangerous Winnipeg Jets

i have no knowledge of the history of the name, but perhaps it's two separate last names: johns and hopkins.

If you could have one of the following to start a team over his entire career, which would you take:

- Superstar center (Crosby, Stamkos, Toews)
- Superstar winger (P. Kane, Perry, Ovechkin)
- Superstar 30-minute defenseman (Weber, Chara, Keith)
- Superstar goalie (Lundqvist, Quick)

Keeping things like salary, health, age, etc. equal, which would you take?

The man's name was Johns Hopkins. Now maybe he was named for a grandfather whose last name was Johns?

I think I'd take Chara or Toews. I worry about Stamkos's durability (love him). I don't think you can say health being equal, because it isn't. Some guys are durable. Some aren't. Crosby has an Achilles head.

If we're only taking one, Crosby no doubt. Generational talent unlike the rest.

Well that's what I mean. I'm not saying pick one of those players, but what player TYPE is what I'm really asking. Those were just examples.

Crosby, Ovechkin, Weber, Lundqvist. I would take Rask over Quick.

Johns Hopkins was born on May 19, 1795. He was one of eleven children born to Samuel Hopkins (1759–1814) of Crofton, Maryland, and Hannah Janney (1774–1864), of Loudoun County, Virginia.[3] His home was Whitehall, a 500-acre (two km²) tobacco plantation in Anne Arundel County.[4] His first name was inherited from his grandfather Johns Hopkins who received his first name when his mother Margaret Johns married Gerard Hopkins.[5]

The Dman, cause they are impossible to acquire. Plus if I could pick any player from all time to start a franchise it would have to be Bobby Orr.
Edit: From your list it would be Weber

D man. Then Crosby due to being the best player in the lot and then a goalie. Sure would love to see Ovie play next to G though. Can we just have one of them and call it good?
