The #LAKings will only have five defencemen vs. #canucks tomorrow because they are short $160 in cap space to call someone up. What a world.

I'd be curious to see if they can get something going again, Sedins/Burrows. Play Vrbata 2nd line when he returns and 1st unit pp. Or just trade Burrows at tdl.

Really like Burrows but not necessarily his cap hit.

Give Miller the night off to spend with his wife, but no pookie before Sunday's game.

Agents will always try to get the best (most) deal for their client, do you think they only compare to players on the same team? I bet we could find a $7m comparison for Bonino but do you think that's what he will earn his next contract? What burrows makes, his cap hit, and his production are mutually exclusive so long as the Canucks spend less than the cap or have players they would like to bring in that would put them over. If there is another player that legitimately pushes Burrows for a roster spot then I'm all for moving him, but I haven't seen anyone that will replace what he brings so pushing him out would be a bad move IMO.

Yeah, we have a little breathing room.

I really should lay off Burr a bit and let him play his game and see if his scoring returns even if he isn't playing with the Sedins. And I guess if the 2nd line is doing well, scoring and not a minus, with him on it then maybe he is part of the formula, making space for his line mates.
