Danny Briere is doing that bad with Colorado, eh? This is an example of the grass being greener on the other side with complaints of wanting Briere over Lecavalier. Lecavalier has been good this season when healthy. I get many do not like the deal but Lecavalier can still prove worthy of it.

VDV is playing better hockey than Vinny or RJ. He does nothing long term for this team, like many current players.

Lecavalier has been better this season than last, but he's hardly been good.

Lecavalier has played 6 games, and Vandevelde is not better then he is. Umberger is not bringing much offensively, but Vandevelde is not better then Umberger is either. Playing in different situations.

Also Lecavalier is playing leaps and bounds better then Vandevelde. Outside our regulars on the top line, I feel Couturier, Simmonds and Lecavalier have been very good. Brayden Schenn had a great on Thursday.

If the usage patterns from the last couple of games continues forward, Vinny's line is the de facto 4th.

That's fine if you feel this way and I won't debate but Lecavalier is also listed in the doghouse without an exit along with Luke Schenn and Nicolas Grossmann in terms of looking for faults.

I think he's been very good.

I think Vinnys been decent togood and needs to improve his decisions with the puck. I also think hes moving better and has a little more jump. I just hope he stays healthy at this point.

Yup. I'm in no ways female doging and moaning about his play, but I'm not gonna go ahead and say he's been up there with the more noticeable Flyers thus far.

No secret that his shot on the PP is huge. At even strength, he can still be a pretty relevant player too, so long as he sees time against other teams' 3rd lines and lower d pairs. He's just not the player that can hold out against the other teams' bests, imo.

MDZ is playing great. This is the best case scenario that we could have hoped for. I was happy they gave him a shot, and he's been a great addition.

Sustainability is the kicker. He keeps this up, he's going to be a big piece moving forward

I was super happy with the signing, then very disappointed with his camp and maybe first three games. He's settled in very nicely. If you asked me if he should play with Coburn a week ago, I'd still be iffy but now, why not?

This is actually why I was hoping he'd play tonight. I'd rather get him into a game before the 5 day hiatus so he can kind of see where he's at and work on what he needs to work on.
