Not sure you can blame Lombardi for the Voynov incident. They could also easily move Williams to a desperate team (Edm) and they have enough youth to replace him. They are lacking D depth but so is 90% of NHL organizations.

^ I am one of the very few that thought his contract was semi-reasonable, although a (bit) high. I have watched a ton of Devils hockey, and Clarkson is hardly a sniper, but you can count on an agitating/heavy hitting/goal scoring 200 foot game- with some clutch-when he needs to be. I'd take him over say, Dustin Brown any-day, for a player of that variety.
