We can be penciled in for 3 losses right off the bat. Thats denver, green bay and new england. Were at miami, home against cleveland,jets, at oakland. Hell we may only beat oakland.

Smith is about the same caliber as Orton is. The difference is coaching, plain and simple.

Smith right now is better. He doesn't turn the ball over and he can make plays with his legs, which in his instance has been an under rated part of his game his whole career.

I actually think they'll still be "in the picture" going into December. The problem now is that they have 5 wins, three of which are against NFC teams. They needed to beat both Kansas City and Miami not only for head-to-head purposes, but for division/conference tie-breakers as well. The only way this team gets into the playoffs now is by going 6-1 for the rest of the year, which is highly unlikely.

Let's not give Orton a pass on his turnovers either, getting stripped of the ball or overthrowing a guy right into the defenders hands has nothing to do with coaching.

They absolutely need to beat Miami on Thursday. They really needed to beat both KC and Miami, but without a win on Thursday, even a miracle finish likely does them little good.

Not a bad player but I would doubt they take a chance on him IMO. You would think he would fit right in with the Habs, he was the same way with the Flames.
