I disagree. He was always a 60-70 pt player other than 2 seasons. He was on pace for that in the lockout year and hes on pace for that now. - GOA88
50% of his goals and 33% of his points have come via the PP since 2012. His TOI dropped in 4 out of the last 5 seasons he spent in Tampa. Tyler Johnson stole his lunch.
This season, he's gotten to play extensively with Simmer, and has spent time w/ B Schenn, Raffl and a good 4-5 shifts w/ the top-line... almost exclusively at the C position... and he's only managed to produce 1 single ES point. |

They've tried everything short of bumping G off the top-line... what stones are there left to turn? - Tomahawk
How many times has it been suggested splitting up Giroux and Voracek? When Raffl comes back, put him on Lecavalier's LW and Bellemare on the RW, and that would make a strong line. |

Pace of play and structure of systems were already creeping beyond his abilities before he arrived in Philadelphia. - Tomahawk
Not the case. Lecavalier's skating is much stronger this year then it was last year due to the injury. It's pretty clear that Lecavalier can still play. |

What does Tyler Johnson stole his lunch mean?
He missed how many games? He hasn't played extensively with anybody! Points are points. He has 5 points in 7 games. And if they find the right linemates to play with him, they can be a productive line. There is no question that Lecavalier can still play well offensively. And he has made a concerted and noticeable effort to improve defensively. |

He's played 7 games. With an injury in the middle. It's a small sample size. That is the point. |

LOVE the prospect updates, Bill. One of my favorite reasons to come here.
Christmas 2017: Sanheim-Morin, Ghost-Coburn, top pairings! |

Probably an extensive one, too.
Lecavalier has looked better, but he hasn't looked especially good.

Boosh had a nice run in Phoenix, I think they are both considered good goalies not great - vejim
Doesn't Boucher have the record for most consecutive shutouts? Didn't he post something like 4 in a row? |

I despise Kreider. He's suck a punk. The hate for the Rags is back in full force. I feel like before the last few years they weren't even relevant enough to hate. |

That's nuts. With Phoenix right? They weren't a defensive juggernaut or anything when he did that. |

True.
I understand-and agree with-the whole "needs linemates who are good fits for his game" complaint, and in Vinny's case it's somewhat true. But that same rationale isn't held for others. With Lecavalier, being that he's a big ticket veteran, shouldn't he be able to adapt & elevate the play of his wingers? |

The puck must have literally looked like a beach ball. I don't see that record being broken any time soon if at all. If I was a goalie I would be pretty proud of that accomplishment. |

It's a tough record to break. When Boosh broke it, it had stood for 50+years. |
