So glad everything isnt based on points. - poisondhearts37
The guy is virtually invisible when he plays against us. This deal is essentially addition by subtraction. An AHL D-man can take his spot for a lot less. |

Mantha .... Just kidding. Who knows what the price would be. Let's put aside the fact of this whole legal issue, what was he worth before? A top prospect that's for sure and maybe a pick to go along with it? Voynov is young and is easily a top 4 Dman on many teams and it's a plus that he is right handed... Can the Kings get full value, probably not and that's what sucks - RobitailleFAN20
So prospects and a 1st or an NHL ready player and a pick or two? |

Most I'd pay is a third rounder, the guy is obviously overrated. Rory Fitzpatrick could get 34 points playing with the kings. - pker2theend
DERP!
Definitely in the top 30 NHL defensemen....
The Kings had one of the worst offenses last year.. one of the lowest Goals For....
So Rory, who had 35 points in his lifetime in the NHL could get 34 points with the Kings...
Are you being sarcastic or just an @hole? |

He will get a young dman back who has potential for top 4 stardom or a solid guy similar in age/cap. I could see him headed to the Island for Hamonic or Leddy. - Aaron_85
Makes no sense since Kings would need cap space for next year....... |

Are you done? Like really. Are you done? Bieksa has been so bad you guys are calling for buyout. That isnt happening here with Voynov. His play isnt bad. Though for you. Its all about points. |

Would you want to employ Ray Rice? no. And if anyone accepts this dbag in a trade it means they are an ignorant prikk.
Dude should not be employed by anyone in this league anymore. |

People with regular jobs dont lose them for maybe smacking around theyre partner. Why should an athlete? Theyre just as human as people with ordinary jobs. |

Actually, yes, they can, if they are convicted. If you are convicted of a felony, you can be fired from your job, especially if it's a government job.
Also, this is more than most jobs, because it's a relatively high-profile organization that he is employed by. So more than his actions come into play, where the team and league could lose money/sponsorship/viewers by employing him, guilty or not. It may not be fair, but it's the way it is. |

If people with regular jobs end up on TV for smacking their partner around you bet your behind they'll see the door at their current employer. Just ask Desmond Hague. |

What about looking at it in terms of this:
You have legal problems stemming from home, they cause you to miss work. How does the employer react to it? Most the time it gets you fired.
Granted it's never wise to compare the "Real world" with the "Hockey world" but when it comes down to it his off ice personal stuff is causing his team and his company (the LA Kings) a lot of grief.
That being said nothing is concrete yet so... |

If I got a felony or misdemeanor in my normal, non-athlete job then I'd lose my license or it would at least be suspended. It isn't that unusual the threat Voynov faces. Plus, he's high profile and a corporate employee. The Kings and AEG would like to do without the association. If there are no charges filed, Voynov's future with the club will shake out based on how the incident is presented and the public reaction. This is probably one situation where the Kings don't mind being the city's third team and this can fly under the radar.

He still doesnt have either. The league should either let him play or take his pay until something concrete happens. |

eberle Do I have to remind you this kids career high is 4 goals, and 99% of his assists were second assists. Keith Ballard had 39 points in a year. - pker2theend
instead of us being reminded of how many goals/pts a certain player has, we are reminded of how stupid you really are.
