Personally I think the Flyers could afford to play Bellemare on Vinny's wing. Maybe when Ryan White is healthy that can become possible.
- GOA88

Maybe. We'll see. Personally, I like the idea of spreading out the talent a bit so that you can get some good 2-way play and secondary scoring from the 4th line.

That's because under Berube's system, the center is very important. And he likes Bellemare at center. And I can see why he does. I agree with you, I'd move up Bellemare, and play him with Lecavalier. But it's obvious that Bellemare has improved the 4th line. Nobody is going to agree or like any move that a coach makes. The problem on here is that he gets criticized for pretty much every move.

I don't like him giving Giroux the 1C spot. Obviously a waste. Fire Chief now.

Future line needs to be Raffl-Vinny-Akeson.

Umby can play 4th line duty well Im sure. He is holding everyone back. Although the Umberger-Couts-Read line had a couple good games. What happened with that idea??

- GOA88

BSchenn came in and made the Coots and Read line go on offense.

I agree that Umberger can go to the 4th line when Raffl is fit again.

Not everything science tries works though. Sometimes, you end up dumping all your research into alchemy, and end up with a useless surplus of lead.

You could always turn it into lead.

The the common denominator with not having all lines contributing in some way is...... UMBERGER. He is screwing everything up.

Ideas and hypotheses drive scientific progress. I think the idea is here but, like you said, the inputs aren't.

And sometimes ideas and hypothesis drive scientific regression.

Yeah I know. He's not trying to change the world regardless of the technical quality of the article. That's my point.

Umberger is the direct cause of the latest Gonchar for Moen trade by "taking out" Nemeth earlier this season.

Only if people believe these ideas and hypotheses as fact without the appropriate amount of factual evidence, reasoning and logic. Yost threw out a stat that had never been used before his article. It could only cause regression if people believed it unquestioningly and didn't critique it. I don't see that happening. In fact, the more likely outcome will be having it refined to be better or scraped in favor of a better substitute that comes about from the flaws in the current one.

He could have inadvertantly stopped Nemeth from scoring the GWG against us in OT. Umby saved the day!

Nemeth's great grandson was going to invent the time machine and cause space time to collapse on itself. However, his son was to be conceived on the day of his injury, so that great grandson will never be.

So, really, the Umberger acquisition saved the universe.
