You got banned for being wrong obviously. The Oilers are great they just refuse to lean on their rookie/sophomore defensemen because their coach is stupid. Also the players refuse to sucker punch anybody who hits them or scores on them.

Eakins sheltered him. Rightfully so, I might add. Nashville has a deep forward corps that would've torn him to pieces given the opportunity. He's been invisible to my eye the past 5 or 6 games and has seen his ice time decrease pretty dramatically. The sooner MacT can find a C to take over that spot, the better.

If we shipped Petry to Detroit we might get Darren Helm. Brodziak might be had for a draft pick, Minnie may want to bend us over on a trade though. Nashville may want to make room for Mike Fishers imminent return. Maybe Cullen or Roy for a prospect and a pick.

An interesting choice might be Brooks Laich from Washington. He has lost his scoring touch for some reason(hopefully he would rediscover it here) and he carries a 4.5mil cap hit for 2 more years but he adds size and leadership. If we were to make a bigger trade maybe we add Mike Green to try and spark our PP.

Should be around this time. Late-November early-December typically features a few trades of significance. That having been said, I think this particular instance will revolve around Phoenix or Dallas. Both have struggled a fair deal so far and both have enough Cs to spare. I could see Phoenix going into tank-mode and thus be open to moving a guy like Vermette with guys like Lessio and Samuelsson knocking on the door.

I could see them liking some young talent. Maybe a deal like 2016 1st for Vermette and a 2016 3rd (becomes a 2nd if Vermette doesn't resign)? Maybe there's a way to work a guy like Gormley in to the trade, but I just can't see what they lack aside from elite offensive talent up front.

Dallas, on the other hand, likely has more invested in competing and their D corps is really preventing them from taking that next step they need to take in order to keep Spezza's interest. Along with their lack of RHD, I could MacT testing the waters on a Petry for Cody Eakin type deal. Dallas also seems like it has enough Cs to replace Eakin with Horcoff, Fiddler, and Morin.

Perhaps a deal like Petry, Lander (extra C body that could find his game there), and a pick for Eakin and Nemeth (big, young Swedish shutdown defender) could be made.

Never had high hopes for him - always wondered why it was that Columbus let him go so easily after one year of dipping. But fukk it's brutal to expect very little from this 4+ million dollar player.

One thing I do like is he fights through injury and has that warrior in him but...

Gotta take a chance on a guy I guess, better then standing pat - he better turn it around.

I wouldn't be opposed to that I'm not sure if that is enough for Lombardi though. He's going to try for a first or Klefbom, basically he would try to rape us. It's very hard to trade a character guy in division.
