Hell yeah, maybe it's a full culture shift or however you want to phrase it. Unload the wing depth and start from the D-core.
So we start talking Yak/ Ebs/ Perron + any lesser D the trading partner might to want replace with.
So just spitballing is Yak for Bogo doable?
Ebs for Yandle? - Salvo
Trade Hall or Eberle for Yandle and get Boychuk, Methot, or Staal in the offseason, and the Oilers are solid pick for the playoffs next year. |

That would completely torpedo our offensive depth. - Dangles13
Yes it would. Two steps back on offense - Two step forward on D. Could pay bigger dividends in a years time.
I'm starting to like this idea but flip-flop as there's no easy answer. I still understand keeping with it - just keep growing and maturing with what they have but I'll take those deals over Ebs for a 2nd/3rd line tweener center on a two year deal----it's tempting with Draisatl/ Arco but fukk that noise. |

That too.... Also what's a good storry for losing a rabbit??? - spitfire187
Tell her the cold hard truth. But go get her some ice cream or her favorite treat beforehand so she is in a good mood. But also tell her that you feel absolutely terrible and that you want to make it up to her and she can have any pet she wants.
Or just go get her a Tibertan Mastiff and give that to her. |

I like it. But you mention Hall again and you'll find yourself in a deeply resounding HA K-hole with no recourse for return. |

I would trade one for defense and try and sign a top free agent. |

You gotta give to get. Do you want to change your current path or do you want a defense that gives up 3 goals in one period to the preds who mind you are not exceptionally skilled on offense? If Hall missed the rest of the season, how many spots in the West would you fall? |

Oh gawd. It's an awful thought.
And you make a good point man because Nashville is proof positive how teams can man-yandle us with tenacity and presence - skill or no skill...
Yeah...fukk our talented forwards. I dunno. They really did start from the barest of bones and it's still tempting to keep with it here. Eberle's are hard to find. It's also not helping us that his performance has dipped. |

Hall is worth 3 Yandles. I'm good with moving anybody besides Hall or the Nuge for defense. |

You have so damn much talent up front it's stupid. You'll have to give up one of RNH, ebs, or Hall down the road for cap space eventually. I was impressed with the forwards without Hall last night. Also, one of the commentators mentioned while speaking to either Eberle or RNH what it was like playing without Hall, and his response was," I get the puck back now." That's not something you want to hear especially if it's a casual comment. I don't follow the Oilers as much as most eastern time zone teams unless they're playing the Preds or Hawks, but that's my two cents.
It's not the best analogy, but I never thought the Pens would be more dangerous after giving up Neal, but they are. |
