Why is Hansen with the twins? Makes no sense. Burrows is healthy... Put Jensen with Bonino and Higgins.

One of the great mysteries of the Canucks. He has hands made of stone, and is not a finesse player.

He is a 4th line grinder.

He's a 3rd liner still. His stock hasn't dropped quite so much as that

A forth line player with NTC. It is either WD gets him going or he gets traded to a team of his choice for 6th round pick.

Woa. He is not that bad man... If that's all we'd get for him then it would be idiotic to trade him

I agree with WD's thought here to not split up his one productive line that is gelling well. If anything put Jensen up there and leave the HBB line together.

Meh, even with his lower value this year we would get more than any of these suggestions. If he is a 4th liner then he is a very good one. Dorsett got a 3rd and that's the lowest I'd consider moving Hansen for

That Lincoln commercial ruined this guys image.

Like making millions off of movies and tv wasn't enough, you gotta go do slimeball car commercials.

Wait, don't you build a competitive hockey team by giving your assets away for nothing? Hansen is not a first liner, but he's pretty effective on the third line. To just give him away because he has "hands of stone"? That's Gillis level stupid.

Yussss! Dale Weise or a 6th round pick is only marginally better than nothing. I'd rather have Hansen than either of those things. He has never had soft hands that's just part of his game but he's a useful guy on the forecheck and penalty kill, and can get the odd goal here and there.

I don't agree with him being on the first line, and I'm getting a little frustrated with having to watch them try it over and over again, but if a guy is worthless just because he's not effective on the first line then our roster is in serious trouble.

What I meant was that Hansen has a NTC and WD and Benning need to find his value before they start making roster decisions. A 4th line player that has NTC and is in his first year of a 4 year deal. The brass do not have a lot of time to access. With kids pushing for spots something needs to give. We have Vey, Mathias, Dorsett and Richardson up for contract next year. IMO Dorsett and Hansen are the same skill set with Dorsett more heart and soul then Hansen. If playing Hansen wit the sedins gets him going and either sparks or gets his trade value up is a win win. Canucks can afford to do that in 2 out of conference games. The points only count for 2, where are any Western conference games the points count as 4. Canucks currently have bonus 2 points since they did not expect to win in SJ and Anaheim. Believe me when I tell you that the management team meet and look at the schedule and they predict the point total per month and week and anything more is considered bonus. I think WD will give Hansen another opp to prove himself and if he cannot he will be traded. my comments were not that Hansen value is 5th rounder but he needs to get a confidence boost to get going or his value will continue to drop.

I'm not sure that we have any kids that are really pushing that hard. Maybe Horvat but that is more out of simple necessity than anything because he's going back to junior if he doesn't stick. Jensen maybe but he hasn't really had an extended period of time in one place to get into any kind of groove. I don't think Hansen's value will plummet if we continue to be successful

Hansen is worth much much more than a 6th round pick (I know you must of been a bit facetious). Hansen is a great utility player. He busts his ass, is a great teammate, and contributes pretty much in all areas. He just doesn't happen to fit on the top two lines (although with his skating and much better hands he could slot in on a scoring line if need be)

The only negative I see is the NT clause.
