I want to talk about Jannik Hansen.
More specifically, I want to talk about how Jannik is misused on this team. Once again, WD is showing that he just doesn't have the encyclopedia of knowledge to be a NHL head coach. I'm not saying that he'll never be an effective NHL head coach, but right now there are some serious questions regarding his ability to assess his players. I know you are all aware of his deficiencies so we don't have to rehash it here. The canuck record speaks for itself. I mean, as far as I'm concerned, those 5 losses are on WD.
As I was saying, Jannik is not utilized properly. Sure he's been the only Sedin-winger not to improve his overall numbers, but that's probably due to Hansen needing to be 'the man'. Grit, speed, excellent hockey IQ, defensive juggernaut, and hands as soft and silkie as melted butter. He needs a role player as his centre, not a puck hog that only thinks about his numbers and his iron grip on the locker room (yes, I'm talking to you Henrik).
He's european so he obviously has skill. The danes have always been known for their aggressive play and no holds barred attitude.
He has one of the best shooting percentages on the team, 4 minutes of penalties defending his teammates to the death, and even though he had to change his game from scorer to playmaker (because of low-skilled line mates) he still has 3 big goals. All even-strength!
We all know Jannik is a force in the locker room, how can he not with that baritone voice. Must be something to behold. And how does WD reward him? Not even a (frank)ing 'A'.
Obviously Linden and Benning are a bit overwhelmed. Francesco has to step in here and correct this wrong. That's the difference between a good owner and a great owner; great owners are hands on!
Anyway, I'm just stating what everyone else knows. Just another lost season in canuckville. |

@#$@#$ classic
Every aspect of that movie was brilliant - in particular the dialogue and of course the editing and story-line sucks you in completely. The film certainly resurrected 'Stuck In the Middle with You" as one of the true classics (as introduced by Steven Wright in his role as the DJ for K-Billy's Super Sounds of the Seventies). I think it'll always make you recall that very raw/torture scene with the psychotic Michael Madison.
I feel Reservoir Dogs is at the top of the Tarantino list (even more so than Pulp Fiction or Kill Bill)
P.S. we have to compare our various comedy, film, and music collections, Steaming, as we seem to have very similar tastes (frightening, I know ) |
