Richards is a fourth liner for the LA Kings. Would Richards be a fourth line player for the Toronto Maple Leafs? Interesting how 15:17 minutes per night is now considered fourth line minutes. Guys like Jimmy Dowd and Blair Betts were probably 10 to 12 minute guys here.

I'm telling you that just because the guy is on the PP -- and Anze Kopitar missed three games, btw, which meant Richards got a few more minutes there -- doesn't mean that he's not one, because on the Kings, he is one

None of those players are ever on the ice at the same time are they? How many 4th line players do you know average 15:17 in icetime per game? How many 4th line players average 2:03 per game on the PP? Which is more PP time per game then Dustin Brown and Justin Williams. 4th line player my ass!

Basic hockey. Total icetime is made up of ES, PP and PK time. Mike Richards ranks 8th among all LA King forwards in ES icetime. How can that be if he is a 4th line player?
