If they are just going to play him sparingly ,then send him back. WD played him more in the first two games, but when things got tight he benched him. - VANTEL
If he can get around ten minutes a night then I have no problem with him staying up, he hasn't looked bad at all minus a few very rookie mistakes, but if he is going to be in and out of the lineup and playing six or seven minutes then he's gotta go back to junior. |

Just had to share this. I know we give each other grief for pencilling in prospects but this is just full-on bipolar Tuesday stuff - bezz44
From what I have seen from the Utica streams, shink hasn't really dazzled. I will hold my judgement til the season is over. |

Salo is a better D than Weber even if he was in a wheelchair.
I also wanted Willie Mitchell back who is old and has 2 cups in the last 3 year. The difference is I don't want them back as a top 6 forward or top 4 Dman - VANTEL
Agreed. Couldn't believe when Gillis all mighty told mitchell to beat it yeah who won that war. Also sbisa is getting better and learning the system. Weber is absolutely horrific. I feel terrible for hamhuis. Corrado must be better than weber but that's just me when he's 9 the ice I'm absolutely terrified. On the plus Taney and Edler look great |

HF as a whole is obsessed with prospects and always overvalue/hype them. It's ridiculous how you'll see fans posting lineups like 5 years from now. - Nucker101
Yea I have noticed, but 4 prospects in the lineup next year!?!
Whole other level of stupid |

Yes, you are correct. Some of them have lost a step but the majority would benefit any team much like pronger ( ) did for the oil.
I still think Minny's best move was to get Suter when he became a free agent. That's what a #1 dman can do for a club. |

awesome.
Let's look at the lineup with those 7 additions...
Sedin Sedin Vrbata
Jensen Bonino Kassian
Shink Horvat Cassels
Gaunce Vrtanen Mccan
Wow. That's a lot of centres playing out of position. This guy on HF must know something we don't. |

Where's Hansen?
Edit: you're also forgetting the player we take with this years 1st. |

Taking a deeper look into this rookie movement, HF guy has obviously thought this out. He's in Benning's head. If those additions outlined above were made next season, Benning would have the following guys to trade:
Burrows, Higgins, Hansen, Matthias (UFA), Dorsett (UFA), Richardson (UFA), Sestito (UFA), and Vey (RFA).
Most are on the last year of their contract. Maybe the sweep is coming?
(frank)ing genius I say. |

Hansen's trade will restock the farm for the next wave of superstars.
No room for this year's first. Trade it for future considerations. |

I think his plan is to let them all play out their contracts without resigning or trading any to minimize asset value. Cutting edge stuff right there |

But you would trade a plethora of assets NOW for Chara? We're 4 years late on a trade like that. Mini was building for the future, and added a #1 dman who fits with the young team. I wouldn't trade a single asset for Chara or Seabrook at this stage in their careers. For Jones, or Karlsson or OEL sure. |

Even if they play .500 hockey from here on out, they'd be right in the mix for 8th. Dallas had 91 points last year so the Canucks would basically need about a point per game pace to be right around that mark. This hot start has given them a great leg up on the other bubble teams in the West.
I'm not saying they're a lock, especially after last year but if I was forced to bet right now I'd say this team makes it as the 8th seed. I'm still predicting around the 7-9 range. Which is a one spot improvement over my 8-10 prediction in September.
I believe we had some downers in here predicting around 10-11th in the West, you know who you are. - Nucker101
I believe a top three finish in the div and a top five finish in the conference is the most likely scenario based on the current play of the team while projecting they only get better... |
