im almost disappointed were so competitive this year. hopefully it tails off. Hard to rebuild a team when your picking in the 20's at the draft.

Good first quarter of the year guys. The Ryan Miller signing is looking better by the day. Same with Calgary and Hiller. Edmonton and two back ups... Not so much! But at least all Mac Tavish had to give up was 3 draft picks instead of not over paying in free agency.

Yes, you are correct. Some of them have lost a step but the majority would benefit any team much like pronger ( ) did for the oil.

I still think Minny's best move was to get Suter when he became a free agent. That's what a #1 dman can do for a club.

It won't be as easy this year I would think. Certainly not if this draft class continues to be as highly touted as they have been for some time now.

I was a huge advocate for trying to get both Ladd and Buff out of CHI when they were dumping salary. Unfortunately I think they're both a pipedream now - one being the Jets captain and the other commanding a substantial return in trade.
