Yeo has the mumps. That's why the lines are all (frank)ed up.

So much for the all gophers line Pretty clear that Schroeder should still be in Iowa, or maybe someplace else all together. He's not good.

NO ONE on that 3rd line was in snyc. and once again nobody wants to (frank)ing shoot the puck! WTF!?! Haula gets a beautiful wide open look down the low slot and he tries to pass it 4 feet away to Vanek and then he fans on the pass!?!!!!!! WTF!!!!!

The PP finally looked like an NHL PP. I am truly amazed at how different this team looks offensively with Spurgeon in and out of the line up. I have a new found respect for that little guy! Great hockey IQ, always in the right place seems...

Zucker played his ass off and is looking very good along the boards. Very impressed with his motor. Now if he could just settle down his shooting and passing a skoesh.

Loved Nino's play, really too bad he couldn't have buried another 2 or 3 of those 99.9% chances he had. He deserved it. Coyle looked better tonight and frankly I didn't mind that line, thought they and the number 4 line were the best out there.

Still very unnerving watching Ballard sometimes! He's scary.

Kuemper looking much like just an average back up goalie at this point, and once again I'll say he's only as good as the defense in front of him.

Overall, what should have been a dominating perfromance from start to finish turned out to be a sloppily played game allowing the worst team in the league (averaging only slightly above 1 goal a game) to score twice on two shots and a 3rd time on a poorly played PK.

Although they got out of the gutter finally, it wasn't as pretty as the score would have indicated.

I'm usually relatively calm during the games but when Haula passed up that shot from the slot I absolutely lost my mind. For the love of God man, you will never get a better look in the NHL. Smarten the hell up.

I still hate the PP - think there could be a lot more movement, but whatever. I don't think it's going to get better. I need to learn to live with it.

Agree on Spurgeon. Just a really smart player - knows where to go and when to go and I don't think all the players on this team have that intangible quite yet.

I really want to see Zucker play with Haula. They could even put Nino or Coyle on the other wing. Hell Fontaine might even be a fit although I'd be a little concerned about them getting seriously pushed around against the bigger teams.

I have to give credit to Brodziak on his goal too. I'm pretty harsh when it comes to critiquing his offensive ability but that was a pretty slick goal. Nice play to go to the net right after trying to set Fontaine up and great pass by Fontaine.

All that said, the blueline scared me last night. I thought they had really bad gaps and just gave up the blueline way too easy. If Scandella and Brodin are out for any length of time, whoever is in goal is going to need to play very well.

You're right on Brodziak. He's played fairly well so far when he's had the opportunities(aside from one game) and his offense has gotten better. Still seems to be that delayed reaction when he shoots, but I'll take that over not shooting at all like half these guys out there.

BTW, looks like Gorggy has gone off his Medi-fast diet.

Funny story about the Gorg...(Or "Kevin Jzor-Jzay" as we now refer to him)
We're at the track one day last summer...We're hanging out before the races, watching PA and Gorg chat a little "pre-race" in front of us.

Guy and his wife sitting behind us

Guy: Isn't that Paul Allen?
Wife: No, that's Kevin Jzor-Jzay (phonetically speaking)
Guy: Wait, Which one are we talking about?
Wife: The Short Bald Fat Guy!

My wife and I (She's known Kev since Grade School) both just about died laughing!
