I was thinking "I really hope Scooby likes this trade"
- bezz44

I was thinking "I don't care what Scooby(boy who cried wolf) thinks of any trades that he's not involved in anymore"

I think he loves Trouba/Monahan..he loses his poop everytime they're traded.

Not sure, at HF they said slashed a Russian player with a bit of a cheap shot. I hope guys like him, McCann, Shinkaruk and Virtanen develop into legit NHL'ers because they'll piss off a lot of teams

I could see Burrows being packaged with Jensen later this year traded to the Ducks .
- VANTEL

Normally I'd say that wouldn't get you that much ....but than then I look at the NHL scoring leaders and am reminded of the Martin Erat for Phillip Forsberg trade ....

He seems like he has a bit of Ovi in him. Open ice hits and top shelf snipes

McCann is so important to the canucks future. I don't see Horvat as a number 1 centre. I think he'll develop into a very solid number 2, but not a chance he's a number one centre. McCann is the only guy in the system that has the tools to be a number one potentially. He's got a long ways to go before he gets to that point, but the kid looks pretty dynamic offensively from the clips i've seen and the fact that he's got an edge to his game is awesome. But at this point it's more of a wish and prayer that he'll become that.... hopefully wishes do come true! I don't know enough about Cassels, but it sounds like he could be a serviceable 3rd line guy potentially.

The worst part was that the deal wasn't even an attempt to add that last piece for a championship ...I think it was just a weak attempt to get into the playoffs

Some American teams that spend to the cap or close to it are told by ownership that making the playoffs annually is a must otherwise they lose money. I have to think McPhee was desperate, there's no way he made that trade with a smile on his face..but who knows.

Yeah that is probably the case, but do you think the caps are not making money ? I would think they are a middle of the pack team in revenue who doesn't have to make the playoffs to turn a profit

Vrbata back with the twins. Hansen back on L4. Until next time #mtdrancer

I guess we will have to wait for the game day skate.

wondering if we will see Bobby Sanguinetti tonight?

Yahoo has Dorsett and Vbata returning but Kassian not yet. No word on Sbisa.

Jensen sits most likely and Horvat on the 4th between Dorsett and Hansen is my guess.

That's a very solid 4th line. Hopefully that means more playing time for Horvat.

Hope so, he intrigues me more than Weber. If he sucks then send him back down, but I'd like to see him get a game or two at least.
