Actually so do I. I haven't gotten in a fight in years, I think the last was on Chippewa the night before Thanksgiving at 5:30AM when some guy knocked over a beer bottle and the must have been coke wired bartender came out waving a mop saying you are all a bunch of (frank)ing ass holes. I said "you don't mind taking our money" and bingo he and three guys jumped me. I was with a female Buffalo cop and a few other friends who broke it up but I had a black eye and swollen thumb for Thanksgiving that year. Had to have been a decade ago.

You are correct, and you are really pushing it being served after 5 AM. I guess the rules change on Thanksgiving Eve at some places...The Barrell House, that was the place.

Talking in the sense of dealing with drunks. It's that philosophy as to why we're generally not open past that time.

The drunks that are looking for trouble outweigh the ones just trying to have a good time.

About a month ago after I closed up I went across the street. Had a group of 4 guys trying to make fun of me as I was in there by myself. Long story short I accurately described the group from leader to follower and how this was going to go down. We ended up doing a shot and they went on there way. None of them wanted to see how right I was. When you cut off the leaders head, the rest will cower.

i know. It was just a joke. I cant stand people with beer muscles and ill leave it at that.

Oh wait, I got jumped by 5 other guys here in Illinois by a University campus in 2010. These people used to break into our laundry room to our apartment building and smoke pot. They did it for like a year. I was sick of having to turn the light on and not knowing who was going to be in there. A girl who worked with me and also lived in my building called me and said "I think they are in there now, can you call 911" I said are you sure, she wasn't sure. So I went in there and there were 8 people in there smoking pot, 5 guys 3 young ladies. I kind of wanted to end this so I stirred the pot, said I was going to call 911 and they saw my apt door open when walking out. One guy asked " is this where you live?" I said " I live everywhere" well after that and the 911 threat they jumped me. Black eye again but I took it for the team, we no longer had to fear who was going to be in our laundry room.

Im always on the look out for younger crowd bars and of course elmwood is hands down the best. I Guess it doesnt matter too much anymore seeing as ill be in SC and florida for the next year
