I think it's pretty real that we are going to need those defensive abilities once we hit the meaty part of the schedule and it's coming soon. Not sure what you were expecting but I wasn't expecting 10 goals in 9 games for Bo. Yes he is offensively limited right now but it's in large part to TOI and who his linemates are. More injuries are coming and WD can develop those skills at the elite NHL level rather than have him toe dragging goals in Junior just to gain a little confidence. A couple goals here and there in junior aren't going to serve us (and Bo) for what we need here in Van.

Lots around here talking playoffs and the harsh reality there is we are two players away from making that run. Need a top 6 winger to play with Bonino and a top 4-5 Dman to round out the herd back there. If we don't have those two ingredients all the while more injuries coming and Bo is down in junior 'getting confidence'. Ain't gonna work.

Remember last year after we went 12-4 in Dec and were third in the western conference going into January we had over 8 starters out over the course of that month. I'm just hoping like hell we don't get caught with our pants down like that again.

It's too bad that Bo hasn't manufactured a few points in his first five game because man that infusion of youth we need so bad in the lineup. It can be like a cancer in the room but in a good way...making the vets perk up and notice and play better.
