Sounds like complete bull to me, why would they sign him 4 years and then trade him after 3 months lol.

Im going back many pages of comments here but i would just like to point out that the Habs record vs the west is not that bad and they would not in fact be in the basement if they played in the west. They have played roughly .500 against the west over the past few years...couple that with a strong record vs the east and you'd still have a playoff team.

Edmonton has played just under .500 hockey against the apparently much weaker east in that same time span. Not bashing Edmonton but Oil fans saying the habs would be a lotto team in the west is a little silly.
