Yes a better defense would help make the goalie better.
Draisaitl has a future, which means one day but not right now. He needs time.
Arcobello isn't a proper top 6 center but he's all we have.
A bunch of minutes would be around 25+ per night. - Dangles13
better defense would make the goalie look better.
this whole needs time. arco needs a new occupation.
since arco is not a proper top 6, and drai is not a proper top 6-why not go with a guy that can develop into something instead of wasting time on a guy with no hope?
thanks

we have gone with draisaitl cause we have no options. he just isn't ready yet.
arcobello is a better nhl'er than draisaitl right now. but itd be nice to upgrade on him too. but that upgrade isn't 18 year old draisaitl.
ill bet the farm that if a move is made and a center is added, that its draisaitl that gets sent to Europe/scratched etc over arcobello |

Because that is how you ruin a prospect. Here you go 18 year old kid who is struggling, here are the top forwards and defenders on the other team. Bye-bye confidence.
Arcobello isn't like a black hole where hockey goes to die. He's not the best player ever but he can be a serviceable player in a sheltered role. He is good on faceoffs and gives a poop when he is out there. |

im sorry that u were unable to grasp what im saying. but that isn't some sort of failure by me to explain.
what about us only scoring one goal? how many games u gonna give urself a chance in when u limit the other team to two goals? alot.
how many u gonna give urself a chance in when u only score 1? not many.
and there u have it!! the simple solution you're so famous for. it was all the goalies fault!!
and any time the goalie get screened on a shot its his fault cause hes paid to see the puck?? is this a joke?
and no one said draisaitl wasn't more talented. of course he is. but just cause hes going to be an impact player doesn't equate to him being one right now. u really think 18 year old draisaitl is better for us than arcobello? seriously??
a bunch of minutes? u haven't heard of a minute eating defender? 25+ a night would limit the nikitins and the aulies playing big minutes, no? u really don't know how this works?
and whos failing on what line? is this another reference to yakupov struggling cause Eakins doesn't give him the best linemates? but if draisaitl is so effective, wouldn't this make your contention irrelevant?
your post is just so.........bad - hugefemale dog77
you think you know more than you do. the fact that you insult and answer questions with more questions shows how simple you are.
you are clueless and confused: in the future i will avoid asking you to explain yourself because it is obvious that you can not do so without insulting and making handicapped assumptions.

clueless, confused and insulting?
so like, u wanna be the pot or the kettle?
and u really couldn't understand my retort?
was I unclear how much a top pairing defender can do?
was I unclear of the impact on the rest of the defensive core that said defender can have?
was I unclear on how draisaitl lacks effectiveness?
was I unclear on that he will be an impact player, but because hes just 18, its not prudent to force feed him minutes?
was I unclear on what big minutes are?
was I unclear on your chances of winning when u only score 1 goal?
was I unclear on my scrivens retort?
the best part is that u like to simplify it to one answer and blame it one thing. nice and tidy.
and because I know that its clearly much more complicated;, breakout, consistent tending, a defence that needs to play a far too simple game to be effective,(but at the same time cant make a lot happen when you're forced to clog ice and chip pucks) finding ways to get to the middle/find open ice etc etc etc
you somehow think its not actually an answer.
if you're answer to all of those questions is yes. then absolutely u should stop trying to ask for further explanations. cause u clearly just wont be able to grasp it |

on the verge of saying this season is a wash....
maybe if we can put a couple wins in a row in the next couple and get close to .500/
but another loss and wow. 5 games below .500 by the 20 game mark? pretty well done |
