yeah.. yeah got no snow here but it was 9 when i woke this morning with a -10 wind chill..

is it supposed to warm up at all and melt the snow.. i am planning a trip back to WNY next week for the thanksgiving

It's so crazy cuz my sister has posted pictures from Kenmore and you can still see the grass, yet Ken-Ton closed schools. They're saying because the storm is still coming, but it makes me feel like an old man fussing about "back in my day we walked to school in worse!!"

It's a catch-22. I'm near the airport, which got virtually nothing. My commute was the easiest it's been in a long, long time, but that's because nobody's on the road. The Thruway was closed even at the blue water tower.

It always gets me when the folks say "ahhhh....this storm wasn't as bad as year x". It's because all the morons who have no clue how to drive in the snow (and you're probably one of them) stayed home.

That's just sad...we have some pretty thick fog around here regularly due to the humid weather and such and I've never heard of that.

We're supposed to hit a record low tonight I believe, but by the weekend it'll be back in the 60s or higher.

The news was all doom and gloom this morning about the cold. Meanwhile I walked out and not a bit of frost on my car and I couldn't even see my breath, so it wasn't that cold (it felt very good to me, actually)

I'm in South Buffalo and my chain link fence is barely visible. I certainly never went to school in these conditions.

yeah.. i was confused the first time and when i asked around they said it had something to do with the way school laws are written and lawsuits.. apparently as soon as the child leaves home for school he is considered on school property, regardless of whether he is driving himself or not. i think you know where this is going..

i think the quickest i got to work when i first moved to indiana was the morning they got about 8" of snow over night.. no one on the road and i got in to work in about half the time. when i got to work i heard on the radio there was a driving ban for non essential travel.
