Sorry bud, but the majority disagrees. He's playing quite well, and has been for over a year. |

People are going to be so mad when he's still here after the deadline - sbroads24
I hope he gets dealt, I feel like a change of scenery could do him some good and I'm so over all the Myers talk that's been on here since...well 2012?
Edit: Given the rumoured price tag I think everyone should be happy either way. |

Because Myers is really good

Nope, it's because people who will be traded for 3rd/4th round picks and bottom half of the lineup get so much attention in the press |

Spezza was a soon to be UFA and Ottawa's on a tight budget, none of which applies here. Myers gets more national recognition because of what he's accomplished in the past and what people think he still may have for the future. - Sabresfan-365
If howard or duchene won the calder then myers really accomplished nothing in the past
Housley finished second for the calder and had a hell of a better career

Not sure if really good applies. What is he really good at.
If he was not really tall he would not stand out that much |

You just posted a blog from "Steve" saying Myers isn't going anywhere? Well now all you Myers fans should sleep better. - GilPerreault11
As opposed to a 4th period fantasy trade proposal article
That's my point. |

I don't disagree, but he did win the calder and that is something people are going to talk about.
The size and skating make him appealing as well. |

The "majority?" I'll take that into consideration when I see Myers underachieving tonight, playing out of position, and not producing offensively |

if he gets a first and a blue chip upper end prospect, it would be a good trade, assuming the player develops |

This is what I love!!!
Myers is terrible trade him, one of the worst D-men in the league!
I want a young 30 goal scorer in return for him.
Hmmmm....

On this team?
Jesus Christ. We have had games with 10 shots on goal. And our defensemen who are constantly being pinned in their own end with no support should be all-stars?
I have heard it all |

What?? - sbroads24
myers has played in zero all star games
myers has been blah at best on the pp
myers has won zero playoff series
the word potential has passed
all I know is myers leads the team in ice time, on the worst team I have ever seen play and puts up a handful of points a season
hardly a difference maker |

All of this talk about Myers is the exact reason why I say that I don't think it would ever be a good idea for Pat Kane to play here. Many of the fans have unrealistic expectations of players and nothing the player does is good enough. They get mad and propose every trade under the sun ad nauseam. |

you don't think people expected myers to lead a potent pp for years?
really? |

I make a point of watching his defensive zone coverage . Even when he is away from the puck . If he is guilty of anything it is not being physical enough but the way calls go against him it is understandable . His positioning is great and his stick work getting the puck away from opposing players is great . Biggest problem in the defensive zone is a lack of support from the majority of our forwards . they are all playing like Thomas Vanek back there.
