I understand the ramifications on the organization as a whole when their best offensive weapon chooses not to speak. But when Kessel refuses the post game availability, Siegel should not have been so offended when Kessel told him to take a hike. Wasn't Phil's fault Jonas wasted his evening waiting for nothing. Kessel was essentially off the clock, and I don't feel the need to answer my boss or co-workers' phone calls or texts after hours if they want to talk about work.

If Kessel's actions offend some of you guys as fans of the team I won't try to tell you to feel otherwise, your opinion is your right. I just feel Kessel was within his rights.

I find it hard to listen to them answering questions anyway, especially the 15 minutes for one line quote from the Captain

I like Siegel as a reporter, but let's be honest. Unless Kessel is contractually bound to say a certain amount of words during media availability then it does not matter if he never talks to Jonas, Simmons, or anyone.

oh relax. there's nothing wrong with what Siegel is doing. he's using this incident to his advantage. this is going to lead to more hits for him on TSN, more radio spots... TSN needs all the hockey traffic they can get. you cannot justifiably defend Kessel for doing what he did and then slam Siegel. they're both playing within the boundaries here as far as i'm concerned, even if they're being female doges about it.
