Not the way trading works in the NHL, Sammich. If you posses a player you grow tired of you then try to hype said player up. Then you convince another team to trade you a valuable asset for said player before they realize the reason you've soured on that player. In one shot you have improved your team and rid yourself of a player you did not want anymore.
Addressing another team's needs is just stupid when you can do it that way. |

Other GMs dont watch the games. You just look at the "trade value" bar.

If franson will ony get a 2nd rounder, what's the point? Might as well sign him and move someone else instead. The likelihood of a 2nd rounder turning into a player a useful as franson is very small. Especially with the drafting record of this team. |

A - I'll put my Leafs GM hat on for this one......not in a million years. Yandle is four years older than Gardiner, makes over $1 Million more and is not much better defensively. Kadri has the skill but has been labeled too small and not good enough defensively to play in the top six, those concerns are similar for the 5'9", 185 lb son of Tie, who has remarkable playmaking ability and speed. If the Leafs are to package both Kadri and Gardiner in the same deal, the goal would be to acquire that elusive top line center they have been missing since the departure of Mats Sundin.
Mike I love you brother...but that is a downright lie. When Yandle was 24 he was putting up an elite season and blossoming into one of the best offensive defensemen in the league. At 24 Gardiner is a tunover machine strapped to the pressbox not even providing much production.
Also the sad fact that Yandle is outscoring Kadri and Gardiner combined this season... |

I love the truth that Yandle is a much better defenseman in every single aspect (including looks) than Gardiner?
