I would move Bellemareto 1C. He's already played well with BSchenn this year and is our second best FO guy
Schenn-PEB-Voracek
Read-Coots-Simmond's
Umberger-Laughton-Lecavalier
Rinaldo-VdV-Akeson - Feanor

I'm willing to do anything to get the other lines going. - Jsaquella
Berube said after Monday's practice that he's reluctant to break up his established "forward pairs" unless necessary but doesn't mind at all rotating the third member of the line. |

It's necessary to find something that works his "forward pairs" be damned |

That's part of my issue with him, to be honest. I get the resistance to splitting up Giroux and Voracek. I'd be hesitant to split them as well. I also get the reluctance-despite the subpar play-as far as Read and Couturier go. Keeping Vinnyburger together...sorry, just do not get it.
That said, the team has been a one or two line team for most of the season. Lately, the bottom six has been next to worthless. One line teams tend to get beat, especially in today's NHL. |

Part of the reason Laviolette was let go was because he failed to adapt. If Berube wants to die on that hill, so be it. I'll shed no tears for him. |

In about a half hour, Randy Carlyle might be available to replace Berube.

I feel bad for the decent guys who cheer for the but there's so many bumholes that cheer for that team that I (frank)ing love this.

He's had a great start in Nashville. If he can sustain it for more than a couple years is the trick. |

Who are hell are you? Clearly someone with no clue as to how solid Bellemare has looked on every line he's got to play on. |

Yea thats tricky. But I still love his system with very good mobile defensemen and Nashville's unit is certainly the best he's ever had to work with. I don't think his tenure would have crashed here if Pronger didn't get injured. So I like his chances. |

I remember that one. Flyers had one in the playoffs against Buffalo that was bad. I think Pominville and Briere had hat tricks for Buffalo. |

Can't wait to listen to Toronto sports radio tomorrow morning.

What's not to get? With Raffl hurt, they are short on LW's. Umberger is a LW. He wants to try and get Simmonds going again, so he tried him on the top line at LW. He wasn't comfortable there, so he moved him back to RW. So then Simmonds either plays with Couturier or Lecavalier. Simmonds and Lecavalier didn't work before, so that leaves Couturier if he's not willing to split up Giroux and Voracek. Not going to split up Read and Couturier, so that leaves either the 4th line or the Lecavalier line for Umberger at LW. When the situation is looked at objectively, it's understandable that he's kept Umberger and Lecavalier together. No matter what he does, there is going to be a hole somewhere, or a line that is not ideal. |

I think there shouldn't be so much reverence for the set lines at this point. I honestly believe that Jake Voracek can lead his own line. I don't know why people are so scared to try it out for a game or two. No choice now, he'll be playing without G coming up here...so, we'll get a chance to see what that looks like.

Laviolette's situation was completely different. He failed to adjust strategy and system wise. Berube has been juggling lines all season trying to find a combination that works through all 4 lines. Stating that Berube isn't trying to adapt and trying to fix team issues is hogwash. That's all he's been doing. While also juggling injuries to the defense. Now the loss of Giroux.

still pisses me off that McNabb really had the chance to - for once - be genuine with the fans during his # retirement and instead he gave the most contrived, awkward hype speech of all time. - Crimsoninja
