It takes awhile to figure it out but here is Yak's for this year:
You can even look at multiple seasons combined.
I'd suggest only looking at 5v5 Corsi ZS-adjusted. Basically only counts Corsi from tied or 1 goal situations and adjusts for how tough/easy the minutes the player plays.

stats are so fun...now I can finally tell you that Cliché is a terrible NHL player, my eyes were confused watching him....what a train wreck. |

I think people who use them as the main tool to evaluate a player are making a mistake. They're a decent tool, but definitely not the end all. I do like to use them when valuing a defensemen more so than a forward. Some forwards obviously flat out create are scoring chances and always have high/"lucky" shooting percentages themselves and for their linemates because they create high quality chances when they do shoot or set up a shot. Then there's guys like David Booth who take random shots while skating down the wing and and have little to no playmaking ability. His Corsi will look decent, but won't reflect his one-ice play. |

I'd let Klefbom or Marincin have a go at replacing Nikitin this summer unless he improves dramatically.
I actually don't understand what the hatred of Schultz as a player is about. He's developing pretty well imo, and he'll probably be a pretty useful in the go-ahead.
To me, it's misplaced aggression about management who seems to think higher of him than the average oil fan. But that has almost nothing to do with his play. And the idea that he was being a selfish holdout this summer is an insidious rumour that is borne purely out of that weird, misplaced aggression. - Morris
well said.
i certainly dont wanna come off as i think nikitin's been great by any means.
hes a total circus out there. its kinda crazy actually.
i just feel like the vet know how he does have can still be usefull, but more importantly, isnt improved upon by klefbom without some proven nhl impact under his belt.
i actually liked alot of what i saw from klefbom in preseason. big, powerful skater and fairly dynamic actually. but hes still pretty messy out there and id be afraid to throw too much at him. but maybe hes ready. kind of a chicken and the egg thing with needing wins now, while giving an unproven kid a chance so we can move forward with them.
and letting schultz go for just picks is a terrible move imo |

oh I get that, just making fun of Roy for his reasons for Cliché being in the line up and Everberg being scratched...Cliché with a 28.8 CF% 5on5 vs Everbergs 50.5...Cliché is great on the PK though....well no hes not and he sucks at regular strength too

He has a cool name though. Probably explains why they traded a 2nd for Reto Berra as well. |

Ek's thread:
Boy would things look so different if Dallas gave in and coughted up the 1st instead of the 2nd.
As for Edmonton, ownership needs to have a changing of the guard. Get rid of the upper mucky mucks and the goalie coach. How many goalies are going to the goalie graveyard before they realize it. Hall looks disengaged so I would take the gamble and send Zib, Methot (resigned of course), and Greening for hall and Schultz. Go big or Go home. Never going to happen though as Edmonton is stuck on a rebuild. - phoenix30
