I'm interested to see Edmonton's proposal for a deal including Eberle going the other way. I think there's potential for a deal to be made.

I would even include Zibanejad in a potential deal, but Edmonton would have to sweeten that pot.

I don't know about either of those. I think Ziba plays a pretty key role for us now and certainly going forward.

I look at smith, neil, greening, condra, chiasson, michalek, legwand as expendable/movable forwards. I think that only smith, chiasson and legwand have any value - with maybe condra having a little. I'd try to hang on to our others.

Doesn't get us much.

If it's a trade for an impact player (which, I suppose Eberle is), I would give up one of our good players, prospect and pick.

Methot isn't a #2 unless he's playing with an elite dman like Karlsson and we don't have one of those for him to play with here. He's a top 4 but we need top pairing. On top of that he's a pending UFA. So essentially after he leaves in the offseason we get a 3rd line center and a 2nd rounder for Eberle??? No thanks. But we'll never be a good team unless we're willing to trade a first line winger for crap. Gimme a break

Edm could use the Methot in their top pair and Chaisson would give them size in their top 6.

It looks like it's going to be another big draft day for Edm come june. having another high pick couldn't hurt their rebuild.
