To Edm: Methot + Chaisson + Dal 2nd (top 40 pick)
To Ott: Eberle
Edm could use the Methot in their top pair and Chaisson would give them size on their top 6.
It looks like it's going to be another big draft day for Edm come june. having another high pick couldn't hurt their rebuild. - Erik6Karlsson5
We don't need more picks. We need NHL players and nothing else. No pending UFA's either |

As much as it would be great to see Eberle in a Sens jersey, I don't think the right pieces can be exchanged here. We are both looking for a top pairing D-man to be honest. I think Ottawa could get by without one for this season, but it will need to be addressed. Edmonton can't keep stockpiling young talent and letting them flounder. I could see Edm moving high picks for some top end help on D.
I'm surprised they didn't sign a guy like Legwand - he might have helped to stabilize up front.

I guess teams should just love them for always starting fights after the final whistle when they lose.
You guys are probably even worse than Anaheim when it comes to that poop. |

2nd pairing D with 60 games left on his contract (who apparently wants big money), and a guy who's proven to be nothing more than a 3C at this point?
I wouldn't. Top 3 D or nothing for me - TheNugeIsHuge
Didn't realize Methot is a UFA at the end of the year.
That changes the conversation dramatically. |

The team to watch has to be the Habs. It looks like they are contenders without any changes, but you have to think that they will be willing to make some moves for this year. Byfuglien would be a great fit there. - Aetherial

Boy would things look so different if Dallas gave in and coughted up the 1st instead of the 2nd.
As for Edmonton, ownership needs to have a changing of the guard. Get rid of the upper mucky mucks and the goalie coach. How many goalies are going to the goalie graveyard before they realize it. Hall looks disengaged so I would take the gamble and send Zib, Methot (resigned of course), and Greening for hall and Schultz. Go big or Go home. Never going to happen though as Edmonton is stuck on a rebuild. |

I agree.
Karlsson also looks disengaged to me. I'd take the gamble and send you guys Sbisa, Sestito(resigned of course) and Hansen for Karlsson and Zib. Never gonna happen though as both me and you are way smarter than NHL GM's. |

I'm not convinced Edmonton is shopping Eberle really hard but I'd love him in Ottawa's top 6.

Buff back to the Hawks for Morin Bickel and a draft pick |
|
|

man, what is with some of my fellow sens fans on here today......those trade offers for eberle are RIDICULOUS.
the zibby and methot deal is a good start...but methot's contract status means the sens would need to throw in another good piece to that deal.
like someone else mentioned, edmonton and ottawa don't make good partners right now.......the only pieces edmonton has that would help ottawa, the Oil would want more than ottawa would pay......and the opposite is also true. |
