the zibby and methot deal is a good start...but methot's contract status means the sens would need to throw in another good piece to that deal.

like someone else mentioned, edmonton and ottawa don't make good partners right now.......the only pieces edmonton has that would help ottawa, the Oil would want more than ottawa would pay......and the opposite is also true.

Methot signed to his current clip for 1-2 more years + Zib should interest the Oilers in terms of Eberle +, but I don't think that's gonna happen anytime soon.

As for Edmonton, ownership needs to have a changing of the guard. Get rid of the upper mucky mucks and the goalie coach. How many goalies are going to the goalie graveyard before they realize it. Hall looks disengaged so I would take the gamble and send Zib, Methot (resigned of course), and Greening for hall and Schultz. Go big or Go home. Never going to happen though as Edmonton is stuck on a rebuild.

some 4th rd prospect in the detroit system.......i can't remember what the trade proposal from the detroit fan was, but i GUARANTEE you it was 1000 times worse than anything you've ever seen.

ottawa was giving up ryan and karlsson plus some other pieces.....and the best player the wings were giving up was jurco, and i think there were like 9-10 players involved in the deal.

the guy then proceeded to argue for about 5 pages that the deal was fair, and said that almquist had the potential to be as elite as karlsson. i guess the wings fans say he shows up every now and then and just goes full retard, then gets banned and doesn't come back for awhile.
