88 and 10 should get one day contracts for tonight.
They get individual banners tomorrow night if they impress.
Just think, what would all the 88 naysayers think after he runt-punts MSL into Hoboken? - hereticpride
He would get concussed walking down the tunnel. |

What do you find so funny about this? - dubc55
Rinaldo is nothing more than a fourth line player. Akeson has done nothing this season and probably should stay on the fourth line until he earns his way up in the line up. Laughton doesn't have a high expectation to be a top six forward, at least not right now and not over what we already have in the top six. None of these lines have been practiced. I wouldn't separate Read and Couturier. |

If Giroux plays, I really hope it's VandeVelde, Umberger or Akeson that sit and not Laughton - Jsaquella
Jebus, just seeing now that Giorux will take pre game warmups.. what a clown show this has been... he's fine..no he's out for 2 games... he's out but we have his gear at the game.. wait, he's taking the warmups.. (frank).. |

If Sam Hinkie were the GM, it would be Voracek doing the sitting as he is pretty much single-handedly keeping the Flyers out of the Eichel/McDavid sweepstakes. - Doc_Sarcasm
I keep reading how the Flyers are a lottery team, and how everything is so bad. Yet they're 3 points out of a playoff spot, and the teams ahead of them for the 3rd spot have played 2 or 3 more games.

Injuries can be unpredictable. Flyers just need to craft the message they put out better, to allow for that unpredictability. |

I don't think they're dead in the water but I do think they need more then to simply get healthy. For example the haters wouldn't notice that we haven't won since losing Luke Schenn but I'll agree it probably wouldn't matter if he was playing, even though he's a shot blocker, a PK regular and good for laying hits that wares down the other team.
What I do believe is the Flyers need to make a trade, I just think it's about that time. |

I think there's two ways to look at it. This team has a max of what it can accomplish with the roster as is, and I think they can be a playoff team. We all know that to get where they need to get to long term, there's still moves that need to be made, and patience for the younger players to develop.

Yes Rinaldo is nothing more than a fourth liner but sadly he's playing better than Umberger and we have no other options at left wing. Akeson's skill set is not suited for the fourth line, he needs some offensive opportunity. Might as well see what Laughton is capable of while he's up and Giroux is out. Bill Meltzer mentions tonights line combo's and they are starting Rinoldo on the third line whether you like it or not and Umberger on the first line!!! Read isn't doing anything right now so it might be wise to try him with someone else.

Giroux might not be out. He's likely to play tonight. According to Hextall, he can't make injury worse, it's dependent on his pain tolerance |

Bob McKenzie @TSNBobMcKenzie
It's believed Giroux blocked shot in practice Monday. It was originally feared he broke his foot but it's not that serious. Or so it seems.
Nothing to be concerned with here at all. Especially with the way the Coburn situation was handled.
Didn't Hextall go on a rant about skate guards the other day? |
