I'd like to see if Scotty Bowman could put 4 productive lines together with the peices that the Flyers have. Even when healthy. - MJL
I guarantee he could do better. Get more out of players like Vinny for example..... I wont say Umberger. He cant bring the Zombie back to life...... |

Wasn't Schenn moved back to wing with G and Jake against the Habs,,where he scored twice.
Is the team rumoured to be shopping Vinny. Well then, give him a chance to play his natural position while keeping Schenn and Jake on wings, give him a chance with 1st line players . IMO Vinny has more to offer to the first line than Umberger - 3flyerkids
Exactly. Vinny has more skill than any other available center at this point. Give him the ice time with Voracek.... |

Not a huge fan of moving Schenn back to center after Laughton was called up. I'm not a fan at all of Umberger playing on the first line. I would rather have Schenn at LW with Vinny centering the top line. Play Laughton on the third line as well and make PEB the LW or something. There may already be pages arguing about this but I didn't bother looking beforehand. |

Yeah, he went too far with that last bit...now I have to wonder if any of it's true. |

So there's ONE person dressed for the Flyers tonight that was on the team when I moved here in the fall of 2009. Well, two if you count Rayzor's bench-warming.
Braydon Coburn, you are the survivor. |

He'd have to play really well. Even then, I'm not sure if Hextall would want him on the 4th line. They could keep Vinny at RW but then he'd have to play on the 4th line given Voracek, Simmonds and Read are ahead of him (that is if the latter two struggle on the left side). |

I'd say it's pretty doubtful. |

Hopefully he plays well and shows some life out there. Even if he scores both games and plays solid I am sure they will send him down because they don't want to " rush him" and they will choose to go with the likes of RJ

Flyers win
In frustration, St. Louis demands a trade back to the Lightning because they're a better team than the Rags.
Zuc is diagnosed with the rare Benjamin Button syndrome and has actually been shrinking since his birth in 1908.
Hank retires to pursue is dream of modeling. He deems himself "King of Scarves" despite the fact that he never sells or produces them.
To light a fire under the team, Torts is brought back. He demands they all block shots and practices by lining them up and allowing Chara to blast away. Each player is subsequently injured and put on IR. Torts is satisfied with their effort, which is really all that counts in this league.
Fast forward 5 years: Flyers looking for their first win at MSG since '14 playoffs. - PhillySportsGuy
Lundqvist already is King of Scarves. The Flyers will be swearing fealty to him tonight.

Giroux is only supposed to miss tonight and tomorrow. We all know how that goes though. If he only misses two games, a 2 game sample isn't really enough time to evaluate Laughton. I don't think they would call him up if Giroux were only going to miss 2 games. But when it comes to injuries, we know the Flyers are full of poop. |

I went to the Phantoms game on Saturday. Laughton seemed like he was a pro forced to play a game with amateurs. |

How would he do that? Lecavalier needs a playmaking Winger, preferably a LW to play with. Scotty Bowman can't make any of the Flyers LW into that player. Bowman can't change the limitations that Lecavalier has in his game. |

It's imperative to get him back to Allentown asap. Worked out well for Ghost. |

I dont think thats the case. It makes perfect sense to call up Laughton right now. I mean the alternative was Blair Jones....... |

I haven't seen him play for the Phantoms yet. I saw a lot of him in the World Juniors and was totally underwhelmed. That was a while ago, so I'm sure he's improved since then. |

So for my completely predictable prediction of the day:
The Flyers WILL NOT get beat as bad as the Leafs did last night. |

Bowman is a HOF coach. Are you really going to question whether or not Bowman can do a better job than Berube??? Just stop.... |
