So for my completely predictable prediction of the day:
The Flyers WILL NOT get beat as bad as the Leafs did last night. - jak521
Laviolette has Nashville at the top of the League. Not surprised by this. He's riding Weber and Rinne. |

Not surprised at all. Love his system with that more than competent D group. |

Bowman is a HOF coach. Are you really going to question whether or not Bowman can do a better job than Berube??? Just stop.... - GOA88
LOL, he's not a miracle worker. He can't change players and make them more then they are. Even the best of coaches still need the right mix to work with. Bowman is not going to make Lecavalier into a 70 point player again. Bowman is not going to be able to make any of the Flyers defenseman into a #1 defenseman. He isn't going to be able to fix the issue of having the right mix of players at the forward level. Of not having enough playmakers and puck carriers, or fix the lack of LW's on the roster.

You know what I'm looking forward to?
When the Flyers win the next two games without their captain, the calls to trade Giroux. That should be fun.
- Marc D
I do have a feeling that perhaps, despite my criticisms, schenn catches fire at center and that causes controversy |

Please God no. I am listening to Leaf Nation right now and they are furious! They all want Doug Gilmour to come in and coach and be the saviour.
I love it when their fans throw the jerseys on the ice. It's just a slap in the face to the whole organization |

Giroux is only supposed to miss tonight and tomorrow. We all know how that goes though. If he only misses two games, a 2 game sample isn't really enough time to evaluate Laughton. I don't think they would call him up if Giroux were only going to miss 2 games. But when it comes to injuries, we know the Flyers are full of poop. - PLindbergh31
Ghost came up for two games and was scratched for a third so I don't think we can rule out that Laughton is getting another cup of coffee. I don't think we can rule out Giroux's injury as being more serious than reported either...
That being said, if Giroux only misses two games, that gives them Giroux, Couturier, Lecavalier, Bellemare, Laughton, VandeVelde at center, Schenn, Umberger, Rinaldo at LW, Voracek, Simmonds, Read, Akeson at RW.
They'd have to do some mix and matching but something like
10-28-93
24-14-17
18-78-40
36-21-42/76
is doable. They could swap PEB and Laughton too if they wanted. When Raffl got back, one of Akeson and VDV could be waived. |

Berube isn't a miracle worker, he's got a ton of holes with this roster.
How is that possible when Holmgren did such a great job as GM? Love how people play both sides of the fence and make one excuse after another. |

Nah. He's got that same dreadful offense Trotz had for 15 years and never got out of the first round. |

Well I value the talent on this roster more than you do obviously. His choice in lines and d-pairs has been just flat out poor and head scratching. This team is capable of more than what we have seen. |

VDV and Umberger are both wastes of time. Why not let Laughton play?
It's bad enough the Flyers are being crippled by Umberger's cap hit, they shouldn't be forced to be hurt on the ice as well. Put his ass in the press box. |

This roster is not ideal. I think everyone gets that. Most teams have holes and less than ideal players to fill their roster but somehow a team like Florida has more points than the Flyers!! Or even the Maple Leafs!!! Dont even tell me they have more talent.... |
