Just got off from my ban. Ban cherry is broken, I feel shame. God damned thin skinned Leaf fans.

Pull up a chair. You are just in time for the meeting of "People who are too smart for this place and those who Ban are jerks".

What did you do?

The only prospect I want from Detroit is Mantha.

- classic321

I'm sorry but I try to be somewhat realistic in my trade valuations with teams. Detroit has said that Mantha is basically a non starter. Many teams have other prospects that are good other then their top prospect.

Something about, does Kool Aid get piped right into your house or did it come from your Mom's teet? the Mom's teet part may have been over the top.

I think every d-man is gonna get exposed at times in this system. It's way more aggressive offensively than what AV/Torts wanted. If you want to keep averaging 3 goals per game the price you pay is allowing more chances.

other then Edler our Defense are all on pace for the lowest points in years.

Touché, didn't know that.

Still early, but yeah that's not promising. Bieksa/Hamhuis/Stanton have struggled compared to what they're capable of.

Don't like our chances tomorrow unless Lack steals the game.

Personally I always thought AV was capable of getting quite a few points from the canucks defence. I won't get into duck nuts torts! Anywho. Agreed still very early but they seem to like to play from behind the opposing teams net. So defence points won't improve much.

I have been banned 5 or 6 times. All within the past few years. Recently a mod banned me for comparing Ek's October record with that of the Hurricanes... except the Hurricanes had two ties. Touchy.

Lack is due. I was thinking during today's game that maybe letting lack have two or three starts in a row might be good for struggling miller who is giving up what 4 goals a game over his last 4

I am prepared to throw my Jersey on the ice. Ok, not really, but damn Toronto is entertaining me.

By the way, all this talk about Kesler being booed when he returns by our local 1040 guys... what a crock of nothing. They have been saying it all day like it would be a classless move if anyone did it... no one had plans to!!! He will get a warm, thankful ovation then we will kick the poop out of him.

The win doesn't matter, I'm just hoping for a good beat down on Kesler by Bieksa.

Bonino to out score Kesler will due just fine and for the years of service we better applaud him or canucks fans are like the Americans booing the canadian national anthem.

Personally, I think it would be better if he didn't get a reaction at all. He was a Richard and glory hound all through his career here in Vancouver. What better way to pay him back when he's introduced for the arena to be absolutely silent.

Arena Announcer:

And coming back for the first time in Vancouver, for Anaheim, the center, number 17... RYAN KESLERRRRRRRRRRRRRR!!!!

Arena: *Silence*

That would be priceless.

I would pay to see that. Could we work in somewhere a Leaf's jersey being thrown on the ice as a sign of artistic expression and pompous irony?

Daniel Sedin - half man half amazing

First assist on Vrbata's goal, first assist on Weber's goal, second assist on Vrbata's second goal...19 pts in 19 games.

Based on his taste for fine ($9) wine, I'm thinking that you are getting a case of Wildcat, also known as "slightly beer flavoured paint thinner"

"The last four games for me I haven't been nearly sharp enough, I have to dial that in and get better," he said. When you go through stretches like this I have to keep in mind, I have to battle, I have to compete and be better for the boys. They scored plenty of goals, it didn't need to come down to the last second."

I just dropped Nabokov, he's good for one start every two weeks, until they release him because he has been sooo bad.

Lager or Ale?

I'm really enjoying the Lighthouse Shipwreck IPA right now (used to be called Switchback). They are also releasing a new lager this week, Bowline Pilsner I think.

I would suggest a Phillips Snowcase, the beer advent calendar. I think they are sold out on the lower mainland, but there are still a bunch at the Saanich LDB store (McKenzie and Bordon, across from Reynolds).
