Half your forward lineup is vinny, akeson, rinaldo, VDV, laughton, and umberger. Your defense is the thinnest and arguably worst in the league. Florida is definitely more talented.

More talented my arse...Flyers have two of the best forwards in the league, so STFU and go troll somewhere else.

Last night showed me some things. There seemed to be no compete from certain guys. I am one who was hopeful Vinny and Umberger could be pros and if not scoring do other things but as i see it they are killing this team. For as much as people love Read, other then the goal the other night he has been pretty much a no show far too often. We knock Couturier all the time for bring no offense or having no offensive insticts. Well lets get him some wingers with some skill.

If I am Hextall I seriously have to see if there is any, no matter how small, market for Vinny or Umberger. I would even look at a swap of Vinny for Stephen Weiss. At least with Weiss if he gets hurt you can usually put him on LTIR. But he is a guy I think would be more useful on the third line then Vinny.

Also i am coming around to maybe using Read and Coburn to try and get a winger. How comes our defense looks worse with Coburn playing then before. Last nght was unacceptable.

Way too many players on this team seem to be just going through the motions: gliding instead of moving their feet, losing puck battles along the wall, losing focus in regards to positional play and showing little, if any, sense of urgency. If Berube really has a pair, both Umberger (who should waived) and Vinnie should be in the press box tonight.

You know he won't bench them...they're vets so they get a huge rope to hang themselves with

Do you really think it's about Berube having a pair? Why would he scratch Lecavalier and Umberger? Who would he put in? The issues last night were team wide. And what would waiving Umberger accomplish? Nobody is going to claim him with his contract and the way he is playing.

Coburn has been brutal since he's return. He's played what 5 games all season and is a -5, which doesn't include all the PP goals the other has been scoring with him on the ice

Its mostly the players. While I dont think Berube is some great coach that puts his players in the best position to succeed or has a great system.... for 3 years now this team has little to no heart. The core group I think needs to be dismantled once again.

We we were playing so much better without him. He should be traded when Hextall finds a taker. His time as a Flyer has been too long IMO.

There always has to be some scapegoats when a team plays the way they did last night. Do you think Hextall went into the locker room just to yell at Lecavalier and Umberger? Because everyone else is playing great?

I know what Berube's system is. You don't think he has a great system. In order to know that, it helps to know what his system is. So what is it?

They really were, even with the trauma unit defense they had assembled. All the castoffs that Hexy signed (DelZotto, Schultz, Coliacovo)were playing well. Crow nose returns and things got a lot worse.

No, I dont even really feel Giroux was so great either... The whole team has no identity.

Minnesota is 6th, the Flyers are 18th. I care primarily about ES GF/GA ratios because that's really the bottom line that counts.

Yes, the Flyers have their work cut out for them.

Not sure who is starting but I would come back with Mase... I think we'll need him to keep this game close.

STFU. Stop with the Berube support. He is not a great coach. Period. He isnt awful but I'm not arguing with you today. Thats all you do is argue with everyone. EVERYDAY.

I'm not defending Lecavalier and Umberger. I'm saying why single any player out when the entire team (which includes Umberger and Lecavalier) except for the goalie sucked last night! It makes zero sense.

There's no argument here. It's not about a system. There isn't a single hockey system in the world that could be effective with a team as soft as the Flyers are right now. With a team that doesn't skate, and doesn't compete.
Throwing words like system around, when it's not even known what it actually is.

The Coach is not going to include a player like Laughton in the after game criticism. Laughton wasn't awful, but he looked like a player that isn't ready for the NHL. So he's obviously going to give that player a pass. They're down 2-0 in the game, Lecavaleir is an offensive player. He can score. That's why he's playing more then Laughton is. Not really hard to figure out. And they're going to keep playing Umberger and hope that he gets out of his doldrums. Again, with Raffl hurt, the only other LW's are Umberger and Rinaldo.

There is nothing about that game that is on the coach. He's playing the players that he has.

With Hextall as pissed as he was..... I dont think its long before a trade is announced and/or Berube is fired. First guy to go.... Coburn.... wow, he is just god awful... Did Timonen really cover up his poor play that much???
- GOA88

I can't see Berube being fired before the end of season if at all. I can see some changes being made, but not a trade.
