No Morris, you're wrong. Labarbera is probably better at meeting back up goalie expectations than a ribbons and Fasth are at meeting starter or even tandem expectations.
Also, if I made a column for 'Neutral' moves that's where almost all of Mac T's moves take us. Nowhere forward, stuck in neutral.
Actually that's what I'm gonna start calling him, "Neutral MacTaint" until he proves otherwise.

Last year was just about the worst oilers goaltending I've ever seen. Labarbara didn't come close to meeting AHL backup expectations last year, and when push came to shove, there was no one to spot Dubnyk any relief.

If Scrivens and Fasth are a terrible tandem, then that means you're treating Dubnyk as a starter and Labarbara as a backup. and In that case, they were each respectively the worst in Oilers history.

I know that when push comes to shove GMs needed to be treated with binary judgments of good or bad. But I'd argue that GMs make mostly neutral moves, and depending on the quality of their major moves, it paints these neutral moves as genius or terrible.

Its not the same Perron as last year IMO- and others as well- goals are not there- he is not as gritty and pesty - overall not as effective as we need him to be... not saying he isnt trying I just dont see him as a top 5 scorer on this team this year... and if he isnt gritty and scoring....

Pouliot isn't a bad player, just higher in cap than what people prefer.
Dubnyk and LaBadera were both completely useless last year.
