Yeah I went into shock waiting to get wheeled up to the OR, my skin was completely devoid of any color other than pale white (spoiler alert: I'm Caucasian). I had to take iron pills for a year to get my red blood cell count back up to normal. Usually they just remove your spleen but my friends dad did the surgery so I still have mine. I'm so high class that I can request my own surgeons while not-so-slowly bleeding to death.
