I saw some highlights of a game about four weeks ago against the Avs. In almost every Colorado highlight I saw Sbisa on the ice, lack of brains and hockey sense on full display. Luca was a minus 5 on the night. MINUS 5! In one night!

I know you Nucks fans feel like you got over on Anaheim with this trade. I know you got a good draft pick. And trust me, everyone in Anaheim likes Bones. But I just want to personally thank your GM for taking that brainless MDZ play-alike Sbisa in this trade. It makes me feel like we got over on you.

But don't worry. If I remember right, his contract only runs through this season. When Luca leaves, you can have Bryan Allen.

Acton is not and will never be an NHLer and it's not as though we need the depth on the farm, Utica is first in the league I believe.

At least Lain was a big boy and had demonstrated some ability in a bottom 6 role.

We need someone who can win face offs, with Bonino, Mathias and vey well below 50%, you can't trust them...I think Acton can play 4th line and win face offs when needed.

The guys who watch the Comets regularly have said that Lain is one of the least impressive players on the team. He's 25 years old and still failing to impress as an AHL bottom 6 player, I'd suggest that his NHL potential is nill. Acton sucks at the NHL level but has been a solid role player in the AHL.

I guess Lain's size still makes him intriguing enough for Edmonton to give up the better AHL player.

I don't see WD scratching Vey for Acton. I'd be shocked if Acton becomes a regular for the Canucks. There's a reason why he couldn't crack the Oilers, a team starved for grit and centers at the NHL level, and with his own dad as an assistant coach for them.

Canucks-Oilers trade is as much Craig MacTavish giving Wil Acton a fresh start as anything.

Seems like the same thing can be said for Lain.
