Definitely not.. but I'm going to say he breaks 85 but shy of 95, with Giroux just slightly ahead of him.. - WarriorHockey21
Very reasonable range. I was thinking around 85 myself. Giroux around 90. |

Remember when the caps tried to validate that Forsberg deal by saying his play had fallen off since being drafted? Good times - PhillySportsGuy
GMGM.
(although Forsberg's current pace is unsustainable... 15% team shooting and .977 SV% behind him... PDO of 112... easily leading the league) |

If Giroux continues firing the puck at this pace, I think he could hit 100 points. - johndewar
He should start scoring at ES too. He has yet to record a goal at 5v5. All PP goals so far. |

Bill, in a best case scenario, would you call the Flyers a legitimate Cup threat? And if not, would you prefer to be a middle of the road team and just miss/squeak into the playoffs, or have a high pick in a deep draft class? - wolfhounds
is this considered a deep draft outside of McDavid and Eichel? I seriously haven't read up on it yet and haven't caught any junior games yet online |

I would not be looking to trade Simmonds. - MJL
Nobody really knows the full extent of the deal but it was rumored that the deal to Florida fell apart because the flyers didn't want to include Simmonds. With how well Ekblad has played and how poorly Lecavalier has played, would it have been worth it to include Simmonds to get Ekblad and get rid of Vinny? |

I think this is the first year we'll see Jake eclipse G in total points... he's been their best F for 12+ mos now in terms of driving play. |

Yes. It is considered fairly deep and very strong at the top |

If you feel any deal makes the team better, you make it. But I see Simmonds as one of the cornerstones and a part of the core. - MJL
I guess that is where we differ on him. Like the way he plays but I don't see him as a cornerstone peiece. He is a solid piece that does good things. Again te offer would have to be high for me to do it. |

Did you see Brayden Schenn on the forecheck and getting to pucks last night? He was an absolute monster. Raffl has a track record with the top line, so that could happen. We'll have to see. - MJL
I didnt watch it. He's certainly been looking good. We'll see |

Have to watch it if you can. He was tremendous. And you'll be raving at how Laughton played also. |

He put up first line Wing point totals last year, without playing with a #1 center at ES last year. |

I would have to see everything involved in the trade. I love the Sanheim pick so I don't know. I think Sanheim will eventually be the best d prsopect we have. But if it was a 1st next year, Vinny and simmonds and I think read was mentioned in it then I might have. but that is me. |

I was there and it was very noticeable. Several people around me commented on it. It was also glaring that Snider wasn't a part of the ceremony. But, I thought Lindros was sincere in his speech.
When did Lindros get all comfortabl ein front of a microphone? He was so guarded with the media when he was a player.
Also, did something happen to shjon pjodien? He could hardly walk to his seat. - Briere
Snider was not a part of the Howe ceremony either. He is up in his box for these things. While I did notice the absence of his parents, Snider not being down there is not a new thing.

aside from the poop show at the end, at least the team truly competed last night, and really, deserved a better fate.
top line looked very good, and i like that schenn is starting to elevate his game.
really liked what i saw from laughton last night. confident, crafty, hustle, pretty quick. the team needs as much of this as it can get. (frank) it, leave him up here and give him some minutes.

Re Read:
Wouldn't do anything now but once he starts to pick it up a bit, I'd seriously consider moving him for a comparable LW. Gotta think there is some team thats deep on the left side but thin on the right that would be looking for that kind of deal. |

This could be just me, but did anyone else find it sort of odd that the team that was getting outworked got the benefit of the doubt on some of the calls last night? |

And I get it. But if I get an offer that is big I might have to take it. This team is still a couple years away. Just like how Hartnells game didn't lend itself to getting better with age you have to then look at Simmonds like that. But again the offer has to be in BRYZ term"houmungus BIG"
Just an example:
STL offers 1st rounder, Ty Rattie, Ivan Brabashov and Patrick Bergland
CGY offers !st rounder, Sam Bennet, Patrick Seilof, Max Reihart
I mean those are some interesting packages. Thats the type of deal I am saying when i say yes to trading him |
