Jonathan Quick and his two stanley cup championships say hi. Before last season Hank hadn't made it to the final dance. - Hextall271
Were you here for the eli manning debate?
Also hank has a gold and silver medal. Quick has nothing. |

Well, that is debatable. |

It absolutely is. Quick is better. Hands down. - GOA88
Quick has a better team around him (not better than the Panthers though), but one thing is for sure, the topic IS debateable. |

Yeah, I'm sure the Kings wish they had him instead of Quick. Go back to your own blog before you embarrass yourself even more.
I thought it was pretty bad. They ended up with both forwards on the right side because VandeVelde didn't rotate over to the left as Umberger pressured the puck.
And why did VdV get more PK time than the superior Bellemare? - Feanor
The Flyers played a very good overall game & got killed by fundamental breakdowns. Umberger blew coverage on the first goal, and Emery was slow to get across. VandeVelde left his side of the ice and that opened the path for the second goal.
MacDonald tried to do too much with the puck, instead of the smart, simple play, and then Luke Schenn lost his guy. Simple, routine Hockey 101 stuff.
Give credit to the Wild, and especially Kuemper. They did a good job defensively on a night where they got outplayed. Usually they dictate the pace, and the Flyers didn't let them last night. |

Yes, but to say that Quick has nothing is BS. Two cups and a Conn Smythe don't count??? please. |

Laughton moved his feet and showed some hustle which creates chances. I guess when have a player like that on your line it will help even a Zombie look some what alive ( Umberger)
There is no way Laughton should be taken out of this lineup
IMO... Much better player than RJ Hamburglar - 3flyerkids
Umberger still needs to come out of this lineup, asap |

I have to question the decision to put 2 dmen, one with a sore shoulder and one playing his first game in weeks on the ice protecting a lead in the last minute of a game. I also have to question the decision to have Grossmann on the ice with the top line with under 7 minutes left in a game you are trailing. - BiggE
I do too. Schultz should have been out there |

Good point. I am just sick of VdV being on the team. He belongs in the AHL. |

The thing about the King is he always has a great shot blocking defense in front of him. He rarely is forced to make big stops. Not that he cant make them but his numbers struggle badly when his defense is not saving the puck for him. He is overrated. IMO. Good goalie. Better than most, but not even in the top 3. |

Moral victories are for failures - rangerdanger94
You 're awfully cocky for being a fan of team that's won all of one championship since 1940. The Rags aren't exactly the standard bearer of NHL success.

Who is Grossmann's partner? Is there a chance that with the team down a goal, that they're going to be taking some chances, and need a good defensive defenseman that is good at breaking up plays, in case that leads to some good chances against? Grossmann is paired with Striet. You want Streit out there in that situation. Schenn and MacDonald overall, played well. No reason why you can't have them out there. This is just another case of pretty much questioning anything and everything. |

All the usage patterns get criticized. That is pretty much commonplace. Nothing wrong with the coaching in that game.

Umberger played a decent game last night. I want to see him play his way out of it. And I think that he can.

Not sure about that. And it's on the PK. It's not man on man coverage.
