I think a trade is coming by the end of the month. No way Hextall is over what happened @NY. - GOA88
Unless it's moving a vet for prospects/picks, I don't see the Flyers being very active in the trade market this year. And if they are, it will be minor trades for extra support. |

You know two teams have to be involved to make a trade. Columbus probably waassn't going to give up prospects and picks so the next best was shaving years off the deal for future signings. Couturier, Schenn will need to get some money once Umberger's contract is done - J35Bacher
I know its a crazy thought, but maybe there are other teams other then Columbus we could trade with. Honestly it seems like the Flyers had their eye on Umberger and made the trade. I seriously doubt their weren't any other teams that would of been interested. |

Hartnell also had an NMC from Homer.
Oh I totally agree, I cant decide between that trade or the Sharp trade as being the worst trade in recent years.....maybe my order would be this-
Worst recent trades-
1- JVR for Schenn
2- Sharp for Ellison
3 - Hartnell for Umberger
4 - Gagne for Walker
5 - 1st for Eminger
6- Scotty Upshall for Carcillo
God we are terrible at trading - Jack-Meoff
Best recent trades
1-Richards for BSchenn and Simmonds
2-Carter for Voracek and Couturier
3-Kimmo and Hartnell for Nashville's own 2007 1st
4-Zhitnik for Coburn
5-Shane Harper and 2014 4th for Streit
6-2011 2nd for Meszaros
7-Ole-Kristian Tollefsen & 2011 5th for Leino
8- Luke Pither for Alt and Boucher |

What's the most likely scenario today:
1. Berube fired
2. Player(s) traded
3. Nothing - Streit2ThePoint
I think Chief has plenty of rope right now, just by virtue of the way he turned it around last year.
You might see a trade, though. The fact that the GM was frustrated enough on Wednesday to come down to the locker room and female dog them out is not a good sign.
They could possibly make a trade, but who would it be? You're not trading G, Jake, or Couturier. Maybe Matt Read? He looks pretty lost right now. I don't think they'll trade anyone until their status, with respect to the playoffs, is clear. I can easily see them selling on Read, Coburn, Grossmann, whoever if they are out of the playoff hunt. I think Brayden Schenn is off the table too. He seems to have figured out how to show up in games recently without having to score. |

He looks really good. I take back all my demands to trade him in the past. Kid looks like he can be legit. |

I can see a vet like Coburn being traded as we dont need him and its a wake up call.
Flyers have won (1) game with Coburn in the lineup and he was a -2 in that game..... |

My point is unless you were in his officwe you have no clue. I worked in an AHL front office. They take calls every day about players. That's just AHL. I am sure they worked the phone but this was probably the best offer. If someone was offering just picks and prospects I am sure they wanted lots of money retained. |

Bob has the exact same number of lifetime playoff wins as Steve Mason. |

I think Read and Coburn could be used to get something that might help. I think Raffl could slide next to Couturier and maybe provide the same role. |

If the Flyers are out of the playoff picture by the TDL, it wouldn't shock me to see Coburn or Grossmann dealt for picks. I don't think one or two of Coburn, Grossmann and LSchenn will be here in 2 years. |

It seems vitally important that the contributing forwards on the team stay healthy. If they can they'll prob be in the playoffs. Defensive injuries are proving to be not a big deal. No drop off really from our 4th guy to our 8th guy |

Read and Coburn HAVE to be moved. They r your most moveable pieces, but you will be selling low with both of them... Hell, get a 3rd for read |

Read isn't an old man so I expect that his struggles will subside and he'll regress to the mean. Selling low on a solid two-way player like Read has been in his career would be folly. |

I'm not sure any of them will net you one. Maybe a team will overpay for Luke Schenn's "potential" or a bidding war will start for Coburn or Grossmann. Coburn will net the most. |
