It's not simply the two losses to the Panthers, they just happen to be the most recent along with Buffalo. The entire season has been a failure in general in comparison to expectations.

The Panthers are improved, I said that before the season even started, but they are still a team the Sharks should beat.

He did pair them together briefly, but if you blinked during the two games it happened you would have missed it.

I would have hoped that he would have stuck with it already but I think the more likely scenario at this point is that another coach comes in and figures it out.

You're exactly right... because the Panthers are NOT a bad team! We are actually pretty damn solid right now and beating good teams has proven that! Ever since we fixed the Penalty problem from the beginning of the year, we have scored a crap load more goals and have been strong defensively! Buffalo is a terrible team, thats where the Sharks should be worried!

Splitting up our two best defensemen? That's a novel idea. McNugget's tenure has certainly run its course, I don't see him staying the whole season, but the sharks have fooled me once or twice I will say that if we're going to lose, best to lose in OT or the Shootout so at least we get some points. It was actually nice to see them tie it at the end last night.

We have a lot more needs then a 3rd line center and some defense men. We could use a solid goalie, and a couple of goal scoring wings. The 3rd and 4th lines are a complete disaster. We could use a #1 or #2 all around defenseman as well.

nope it's gunna take more than that. Emelin is a good defenseman but he can't score.

Burns has been far from terrible. He is 2nd in league scoring for defencemen while being paired with a teenager.

This is something that can frustrate me about some fans. You want to go younger and give the guys a shot but you have to expect some major growing pains (especially on D).

It is not Burns' fault he and Mueller are a mismatched pairing. It is actually not the worst decision in the world for McLellan to keep one leftie and one rightie for each pairing. But I think Vlasic-Burns Mueller-Braun would be a better combination.
