I'd do it for Perron and a pick. I think Perron would really help the Flyers second line be more effective and it'd help the 2nd PP a lot. - Jsaquella
I'm not a Perron fan at all. I would rather him not be on our team |

Hurts the defense too much. This team's problem is defense. Not offense. I wouldn't give up a #2 NHL defenseman for a 2nd line Winger. Even if the pick was a 1st. - MJL
If hextall wouldn't do coburn for their first. He should be fired. I guarantee he would pull the trigger on that |

You'd have to be out of your mind to make that trade. With the premium on quality defenseman in the league.

He's not an exceptional two way player, and the concussion history is worrisome, but he's good with the puck, can score goals and has good speed. Also has good cap hit for this year and next.
Preferably, they could get a 1st rounder and prospect, but I can't see Edmonton trading it's first rounder unless they got an out and out stud defenseman |

Flyers likely to go with 7 D tonight, per Dave Isaac-as long as Del Zotto feels well enough to play - Jsaquella
Never been a huge fan of seven D, but I'd said before that the Flyers might be better served by running that, for now |

Thinking about it, it could be the 2nd overall pick. So maybe he would. But honestly, I don't see Edmonton willing to give that up for Coburn. Just not willing to give up Coburn for Perron.

He's taken it up a notch further this year, for sure. But he was dynamite last season, and a monster in the lockout shortened 2012-13 season. - Jsaquella
Yeah you could see him breaking out over that time...it's kind of surprising the level to which he continues to progress. At times, the way he turns with power and speeds up the ice and then weaves his way through traffic in the offensive zone to set up plays, it's on a Lindros/Forsberg/Jagr like level. |

Just in case Del Zotto isn't quite ready, not a bad idea.

There's maybe 3-5 guys they'd move that first-round pick for, and even then, you have to wonder.
I mean, right now, that pick's no worse than No. 4 overall. They won't move that

If Edmonton is willing to give up whats sure to be a lottery 1st and a 2nd line winger for Coburn, I'll drive #5 to the airport and buy him a 1st class seat |

Yeah. Honestly not sure that the market for defense is all that crazy anymore. Dallas traded Brendan Dillon for less than I thought he'd get, Bryan Allen was moved for a guy that the Habs were trying to give away.
I'd certainly start out by asking for the moon and stars, but I doubt that you get it for Coburn-or anyone else on the Flyers blueline. |

Flyers need a LW, but not willing to trade the team's best defenseman for it.

The improvement in conditioning has allowed his already high level of natural talent to further blossom. I still feel he was performing at a very high level for each of the past two seasons, but this year he's been insane. |

I know people don't take Ek seriously, and that's fine
But I do believe that Edmonton needs a defenseman and the Flyers now have eight healthy ones, to some degree
They don't have to move one, but I don't think it'd be wrong for them get another forward for one of them -- doesn't have to be Coburn, but at some point, the forwards have to get addressed.
Don't know that they can wait until Raffl gets back -- and yes, I still dream of playoffs. Can't change what I am

I'm not crazy about him, but if we're discussing Edmonton...Eberle? Huge cap hit. Yakupov? Talent is there, but who knows? Doubt they deal Hall or RNH. |

I don't doubt that there are conversations taking place. Hextall isn't going to deal Coburn unless he gets a real good piece for the future.

Me neither. He's a nice player, but I would rather look for picks/prospects for Coburn than a top 6 winger. |
