I doubt that's what they're doing. Teams usually only do that if the AHL team has a game or if they're close to the cap. Neither applies here.

I'm assuming Neuvirth is good to go. by time they play again it'll be a week since he's out I believe. I'm thinking maybe it turned into more of a bruise than a tweak of anything?

True, but if that's the case, why didn't they send him back yesterday? The only reason I assume he got sent back because Neuvirth is good to go, is because they said Neuvirth's injury wasn't as bad as first thought and that he wouldn't be out very long.
