name all the defensemen in the NHL that are better than the oilers' best defenseman, Jeff Petry. I think you'd be being charitable if you didn't hit 65 names without breaking a sweat.

Now name the best centres in the NHL. Nuge would likely be the only one in the top 100.

That's two big parts of the puzzle.

Yup but if Lowe won't bring in the staff that has the courage to make bold moves, he's ultimately responsible. Starts higher up than Mac T and filters down..about 5 years ago I thought the Oilers would be absolutely dominating the league by now.

Aulie is now my favourite Oiler. He looks and acts like a d!ck and the Oilers could use a few more guys like him

Very true. Do you think Yakupov or Ebs will be traded for a center or D man? I got a strange feeling That the oilers will trade One of there top forwards for the Schenn bros. I don't really like that trade for Edmonton though.

I hate that trade for Edmonton, but it seems like the kind of thing Katz's marketing team would be into. Mostly I hate the idea of treating the schenns like they're some important package deal. We've got enough cliques on this team.

I hope Yak/Ebs + a 1st goes out for a dman. You gotta figure you could get a pretty decent one with that even if it was an overpay.

Brayden Schenn is good. At least I think so. He will be a solid second line center. Third line at worst. Luke Schenn is

Ebs/Yak and a 1st(2015 or 2016?) should bring in a good haul. Maybe Vlasic and a prospect?
