Wait. I was collecting hockey cards as a kid back when Tkachuk was a rookie....now he has a kid gonna be turning pro??? (frank) I am old. And my team sucks. For a second or 2 I felt bad for him, but then I kinda thought about it for a minute. If he was a hot shot AHL coach with all the hype in the world, chances are you were gonna get a shot to coach in the NHL eventually.

If he had any real sense about him he would have waited for a low pressure gig to pop up like Winnepeg or Carolina, where there isn't much for expectations.
But no, the dippoop decides he's gonna be the one that takes this useless bunch of misfits and retards and turn them around? In a hockey mad , angry market like Edmonton? What's the matter the Leafs weren't returning your call?
Now his career is about to end and he might as well get a new career because he'll never get another shot.

I know this guy up in Grande Prairie that IMO is probably the laziest sack of poop I ever met. Anyway I guess he was a goalie and he tried out for the storm when CC was the coach. He told me Clouston was an ass hole but I took it with a grain of salt and told him I would be an bumhole too if I had a dosile sack of poop wasting my time at a training camp.

He went to edmonton because they had a core with a huge amount of "potential", so many high picks and elite talent. How was he supposed to know the GM wasn't going to give him NHL caliber players and those young guns EVERYBODY was gushing over would be duds. Any coach would be in the same position with this roster. I'd be putting the blame on MacT and Lowe.

Absolutely. The roster isn't very good. But Eakins has to own his piece of the puzzle . It's a tough gig, it's not for everyone.
