Technically I didn't say it to him. My buddy Jazzca1974 was banned for this.

I don't watch much Oiler hockey.

My question for you guys: Is Nugent-Hopkins not a top line Center?

If anything my opinion is the Oilers need some defensemen. And maybe a second line center.

yes.
or at the very least well on his way to being a true 1c. hes had some banger games this season and is a different player since hes bulked up
hes far ahead of some established 1'c at the same age.
but he does have nights where hes outplayed by his counterparts, which isn't surprising. and considering he still only 21 (!!), the 1c competiton he faces some nights, and what we have behind him down the middle, on defence, and in net, we're generally cooked on those nights.

and we certainly could use a quality 2c for now and the next year or two instead of thrusting draisaitl into minutes he cant handle at this stage in his career.

but yes, I agree that defence should be the priority

I had my little diatribe this morning.
u all know I don't think Krueger does much for this team, but I cant argue with Eakins results either. just terrible.
I just hope if Eakins gets fired, they also add some quality to the roster.

plus, I can only sporadically retort as im trying to work on a literary research paper on PTSD and its correlation with the short story "the things they carried" by tim Obrien.
painfull work, but the story is actually pretty good. I recommend it

E.Staal, Dubinski, M.Richards, Brooks Laich are all guys I want. D.Roy, Cullen, Fisher from Nashville would be an upgrade over what we have.
