It sounds as if a call to Edmonton would simply be for comic relief on a rough day. - tangent_man
Pretty much!
Hextall: Hey Mac, what would you want for Perron?
MacT: Well, considering you're a good friend Hexy, how bout Giroux, Coburn and a 1st?

Ideally, I'd like to see Bellemare and Akeson with Laughton, and an anchor line of VinnyBurger & Rinaldo.
That said, the way Berube is using them and the way Laughton is playing, gives them 4 lines that can generate chances. I'd just like to see Bellemare's line, if it is with Akeson, get more ice time.
EDIT: The downside is a line of Vinny, Rinaldo and Umberger isn't likely to be effective at anything. - Jsaquella
Vinny isn't made to play on the 4th line. He doesn't need to earn minutes as he used to be great in Tampa 5 years ago |

Hey do you guys think the Oilers would trade us hall, Nurse and their 1st for Luke Schenn? - PhillySportsGuy
Maybe if we included Umberger |

Wouldn't they put MDZ and Coburn back together and have Coburn on his usual right side? - Feanor
Yes, but Chief has to first cycle through a few iterations that are disastrous before he eventually reaches the one that would have made the most sense to everybody else right off the bat.

It's imperative we get Umberger going! It's not like we have a versatile, two-way forward with speed and skill on the 4th line who can jump up and give us 15 good minutes each night! |

Schultz started the season on the left side and was very good too.

Vancouver lost Hamhuis for some time. Looks like another team needing a defenseman.
Can Coburn get us a packge with one of Virtanen, McCann, Shinkaruk and picks or Kassian |

You have to be a special type of person to be a professional athlete. Just to block things out, and let them roll off your back. There's no way I wouldn't let that crap eat away at me.. I kinda feel bad for the guys.. |

God yeah, I think a line of Hall-Giroux-Voracek could be unstoppable! - BiggE
I think you have something similar to that line when Raffl is healthy and it does not cost you anything, I think the two glaring issues stated on a daily basis: the lack of a true number 1 and 2 D-Men, and the lack of production from VLC and RJ are what is really hurting the team. We are not going to be able to offload VLC or RJ, so the only option via trade is to go after a number 1/2 D man, which there are not too many out there that won't cost us some of the core players...
Patience, as Hexy said is the only real option here and hope that they can grind out enough games to make the playoffs to get the playoff experience for the younger guys... |

JvR: 21 games, 9 goals, 8 assists, 17 points.
Luke Schenn: healthy scratch.
I guess I just have to be REALLLLLLY patient. |

They really should be booing the front office, but the players didn't exactly but forth the strongest effort that night.
That really was a hall of fame walk of shame |
