jfc wait for ggunk
- Giroux_Is_God

Sometimes, ggunk is very slow to the party. It can be HOURS. We can't wait for the gunk!

I know he is a RFA. Doesn't make him and easy sign. All it takes is someone to offersheet him and his price goes to more then you like.

With what defenseman are getting these days it would be hard for hs agent to not advise him to wait until FA and get a bidding war. I could see him around 5-5.5 range.

You think someone would trade a 1st, 2nd and 3rd round pick for Leddy?

Goulbourne is actually a solid defensive player with speed and a bit of skill. As a 5th or 6th round pick, Goulbourne would be a fine selection. Klotz was nothing more than a massive goon, and he wasn't even that good of a fighter.
- Jsaquella

Klotz has to be the worse most ridiculous draft pick the Flyers ever made. I mean, yeah Sittler at 7 overall but that at least made some sense. this kid in the 3rd rounder was just stupid.

Sittler at least had the injury excuse. Klotz was nothing but a fighter

You'll be hurt by not having picks later on. Boychuk is the key though. You need to resign him
- PhillySportsGuy

One of the youngest teams in the league lots of very good prospects in the pipeline waiting. They'll be fine, plus I have a feeling they are going to trade a forward like Grabner and get some of those picks back. Either way they are fine now and in the future

Is this game a trap tonight... for the Islanders?

After playing Tampa and then 2 against the Pens, it almost seems like that.

My how things have changed.

- Marc D

I've been saying that all morning. They are due for a loss but then I think how its a different team and how they owe the flyers a few beating so who knows. It has 6-5 written all over it

IIRC the season before he was traded he was indeed a healthy scratch multiple times... If you are arguing the "routine" portion.. go for it.
- jak521

He was there for 4 seasons. I think he was scratched less then 5 times in that time span.

Not really related to anything, but:

It seems like the city doesn't care about this current Flyers team more than usual. It seems like this team has no "identity" as people would say. No one cares about this particular collection of players. Sure, there's Giroux and Voracek, and there's Simmonds and other good players. But the city really connected with the LOD days, the 09/10 team, and even the 11/12 team.

My dad went to the Lindros/LeClair induction and left after the first. He said the Flyers were playing really well, but he just didn't feel like he was missing anything by staying. Obviously, success on the ice would help, but even still, it kinda feels off, like no one really cares what happens, and I think it's even affecting me. It's great that the Flyers won 4-2, but it was a half-hearted cheer when they did.

I don't know exactly what I'm saying because I can't find the right words. But do you guys have the same kinda feeling?

was it the angle he took? hard to tell. I think he couldve got off quicker when the play started up ice
- Just5

The puck is in the left hand corner of the ice, yet Schenn positions himself all the way over on the opposite side of the ice, near the boards. He should be atleast 2 or 3 strides towards the middle of the ice. Columbus executes a quick up breakout, and look how far Schenn has to skate, just to get back to the middle of the ice, to get into the play? That's how he got beat. If he is positioned better, even with his lack of speed, he would've easily been in position to defend that rush.
Same thing on the PK goal. He's caught flat footed and reached for the pass. If he moves his feet, just a half a stride, he can easlily deflect that pass.
Same thing on the play where MacDonald turned the puck over in the previous Columbus game. He has coverage, stops moving his feet and puck watches. His man skates to the far post for a slam dunk.

This kid is caught flat footed and puck watching far too much.

As others have said, the Eagles are 1st in their division. When they lose the Wildcard game the Flyers bandwagon will be full of angry and upset Eagles fans

Well just looking at a quick google glance I counted 4 times in 2012.

EDIT: Either way, the Flyers traded a very good young talent to a guy who struggled mightily and was a healthy scratch for the exact same reasons today.
